Your BIG DAY is coming up and you have found the perfect dress! You can't image finding another dress that will fulfill your expectations. The staff at Mii's begin to measure and your pin your dress to make the necessary alterations. Even though they tear a few sequence in the process, they promise to repair each one so that it is perfect. You are told to come back for a 2nd fitting in a few weeks. They request 1/2 the money up front and 1/2 when you pick up.....sounds sensible. But beware.....your nightmare is just beginning. When you call Mii to make an appointment for the 2nd fitting, she advises that the dress is ready to be picked up.....no other alterations are necessary. You arrive to find sequence missing.....the dress is not fitting correctly...It is so tight you can barely zip the zipper.....and it isn't even finished properly. The skirt is loosely tacked in four places and isn't even sewn. At this point Mii begins to yell and scream at you as if it is your fault...""You shouldn't have picked out a cheap dress"". Other alterations are necessary to make it fit correctly but you will have to pay extra for those alterations. What will you do??????? You are already over buget and You have a deadline to meet! The photographer has been booked and your portrait appointment is coming up. It is too late to start looking for a new dress! You are at the mercy of Mii. That is a place you never want to be. She agrees to finish the skirt .....but no more! So the best you can do is take what she gives you. No matter how tight it is.....no matter if the sequence are falling off.....and to top it off she refuses to send dress home in the heavy duty bag, it came it in. You walk out of the shop with an expensive dressed covered only by a cheap dry cleaning bag. There are plenty of other bridal salons in Dallas! I had purchased a wedding gown in a different state and had checked with Mii's before the dress arrived to be sure they were able to help with any alterations. They stated that this was fine. When the dress arrived, I took it in, tried it on. Mii and I agreed on what needed to be done to the dress, she gave me the date it would be ready, and I paid in advance for the alterations. The dress was ready on the day promised. I tried it on and had a few questions about the work that was done. When I asked her about what exactly had been done, she became VERY RUDE! She told me that I needed to take the dress back and get a new one! She told me that I was too big for the dress (it is a bit tight, but NOT too small), that she can do ""no more!"". She said that if I wanted her to fix anything else (the material was puckered due to their work!) ""you want to pay me more money?"" When I asked if it could be fixed, she said, ""you get what you get!"" She yelled at me the entire time I was asking her about my dress. When I tried to apologize(even though I did NOTHING wrong) she yelled at me from across the store and told me that I was ""too big, that dress no good!"" She made me feel HORRIBLE, she is RUDE and the work is SUB-PAR! My advice to you? STAY AWAY from this business. While the language barrier is definitely an issue, she is abrasive, and I should have listened to my gut when I paid, in advance, for alterations that were never documented. I never saw one person write down one thing that needed to be done to my dress. My dress is NO LONGER AT Mii's! I can't imagine letting her work on something as important as your wedding dress. I will be taking my dress elsewhere to have the work that she did fixed! Pros: The nice sales lady that works at Mii's Cons: Mii! We had gone to Mii's a couple times to try on some different bridesmaids dresses and we had originally felt that their service was ok so we would probably order from them. However, we went there recently and were going to be picking which dress we wanted but as we were trying them on we were kicked out of the dressing room. Had they politely asked if we would move to another one because the one we were in was bigger and a girl needed to try on a wedding dress, that would have been fine. But instead, they basically said, you need to get out of there; you can't use that room anymore. Also, one of the women working there bumped into one of the girls and then gave the girl a dirty look. They also said ""Are you going to buy anything or not."" Now I know they want to make sales but to just ask that is pretty rude. They were never very helpful in finding the dresses we wanted to try on anyways - we always ended up having to look ourselves. I would not ever suggest this place. Great service and great selection; the owner is willing to negotiate pricing and give you a good deal. However, I was uncomfortable with the language barrier and decided to pay a little extra and order from a different shop. Pros: Selection, service, and price. Cons: Miscommunication more

If you use Mii shop, please make sure she is listening thoroughly with what you want & need. Mii said it will take 3 weeks for the dresses to come. It was four weeks and I paid for a rush delivery. OK four weeks are much better than six. So I didn't say anything. Mii measured my sister & daughter so when the dresses arrived in the correct sizes we can have them altered. Dresses came and Mii gave my daughter 2 inch heels to see where she should place the pins to cut the dress. My sister came in later to have Mii put the pins in to alter her dress. We informed them that we needed the dresses by 05/19/07. The dresses were not ready. I gave them until Monday, the dresses were not ready. Mii said it should be ready on Tues. but I gave them an extra day since their timing is always off. I called today, 05/23/07 and Mii said their ready. I found out today that Mii did not cut my sister's dress b/c it did not did not need to be cut. Therefore, her dress comes to her ankles and the other dresses comes to the floor. Contacted Mii to tell her this and she said ""she did not know."" I ask her what did she mean she did not know. They are in the same wedding and we informed her that the dresses had to be the same length. However, we can bring the dresses back and she will redo it for $17/ea. I thought I was working with a professional who knew the length of the dress prior to ordering them. I thought she was listening when we were telling her what we needed.
