Right... 3/2/2009

The only other place that I've responded to your review...why their system decided to repeat my post several times, I haven't the slightest, but apparently you've missed my point all together. My point was simply this: You bashed the place, and called it "LAME-O", and went out of your way to do such. You claim that you've got better things to do with your time, but nonetheless, you took the time to post a hurtful review about a nightclub that you went to, and gave no better reason for it than "a fight broke out when I was there". That's just so insightful! If you're going to go out of the way to give a place a bad rep, than the least you could do is offer more than "a fight broke out"! Hell, if that were the case, there would be no open clubs in the country!!! Not too many places in existance that have never, in the history of them being open, had a bar fight happen. As far as Dallas goes, I've been there many times, as my wife hails from Texas herself. If you spent that much time there, and never encountered any bar fights the whole time, then that would make you probably the only person alive that would be that lucky!!! All I'm saying is simply this: You have plenty of time on your hands to go out of the way to write a bad review of a place you've been to ONCE, and if you're going to take the time to do such a thing, I would think that the whole experience would have to suck enough to make it worth that time...not just being in the wrong place at the wrong time. How could such a thing that you witnessed be connected in any way with the club itself, or it's management!? Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't that reflect on the idiots who started it in the first place, and not the bar? If you have a bad day, go get hammered, and hit someone at a bar, how does that make the bar "LAME-O"? Seems a little childish. more

In all fairness... 3/2/2009

First of all, this is the ONLY site that I posted a review of this place. It appears that you are actually the one who is posting the same review everywhere - multiple times. Let's be fair here. Just to be sure, I searched for reviews of Midnight Rodeo, and yours is the only one that came up on more than one site. It is not my life's mission to spread a bad reputation of anywhere. I have better things to do with my time. Second, I grew up in the Dallas area and lived there for 30 years, and have been to many of the clubs there. Not one time in all the years that I've gone to clubs down there has a fight broken out. The clubs there have a completely different atmosphere. You would know that if you had, as you say, "been to some of the best clubs in the country." more

Perhaps DALLAS is "Lame-O", hmmm. 3/2/2009

I've read the same exact review by someone who has obviously gone out of the way to make the M.R. look bad on several different sites, so I feel the moral obligation to set the record straight here.... Well, it's certainly not all that I know, as this person has put it,...with Skynyrd tribute band "Tuesday's Gone" I've had the privilage to frequent some of the finest clubs around the country, and regarding the only other review here that I've seen for the Midnight Rodeo, I have to strongly disagree! If this other person was from Dallas, than certainly they also realize that with going out to ANY nightclub, be it in Texas, or Eastern NC, bar fights happen sometimes....that just goes with the territory unfortunately. Personally, I can say that the staff there are more friendly and accomadating than most that we deal with every week, as well as the clubs' customers. Very nice people, great service, and always a good time. I'm certainly not writing this simply because they sign the check at the end of the night, (I could just as easily ignore this and write nothing at all) I am writing this because these are my honest experiences, and opinions. Perhaps this person should go back to Dallas, where there's never been a history of bar fights! lol. I hope folks will give the Rodeo a shot, it's a great place, and I've always had a wonderful time there. Tuesday's Gone will be playing there this coming Friday night, btw, March 6th. Hope to see anyone and everyone there if you're either a TG OR Lynyrd Skynyrd fan. 5 stars from us! Ryan King Vocals for Tuesday's Gone www.tuesdaysgonetribute.com more

LAME-O! I guess if you're a local and it's all you know, then it's OK. But being originally from Dallas, it's really lame. The first time I ever went there a fight broke out! And this place seriously needs to think about instating a dress code. more
