Anyone who needs any kind of help in gardening, stuck on a project, just want an unusual plant and experience needs to go to Mid South Nursery. This place is awesome. You also need to go when they have there Christmas Open House. It's a dream. Bob is very knowledgeable and doesn't pressure you into buying things. He is passionate about his work and will give you honest advice. Mid South Nursery isn't your your average plant nursery, Its a family owned sort of well oiled machine. You have Bab Mairion his father started the buisness in the fifties, and he has been doing trees and shrubs his whole life, he has an eye for unique plants. He is a product of the 70's and really fun and funny. Bob is all work, everyday he works with his carhart's and tennis shoes or boots. Then theres his brother-in-law, Byron who is all buisness, polo chino pants and button up shirts everyday. He is very smart and has his way with words you have to be careful around him, Bryon's wife Betty runs the inside gift shop with the help of Marsha Clark another employee at mid south. Also theres Jason, Byron's go to guy he is really good a extensive projects, and very particular about the work he does. This place is awesome. They are not your usual nursery. Sure they have lots of flowers, trees and shrubs, but they also have the biggest selection of Christmas ornaments and collectibles during the holidays. When you go in, it reminds you of a Christmas wonderland. Their prices are a little high, but the value is great. I don't like the location, it is a little on the small side and is way off the beaten path but it is worth the drive. more
