Very cozy, intimate little restaurant and can be crowded at times, but the food is top-notch. Best Italian food in downtown Wallingford by a landslide. Good fish, pasta, steak as well. Not cheap -- it is a white tablecloth place -- but it's well worth it. Located in a few adjoining storefronts on Center Street just past the Post Office. Probably the best meal in that part of town. more

A Great Place! 7/9/2005

I am personal friends with the owner and his family, and I'm not writing this review with a bias opinion. His restaurant is excellent. The food ranges from regular pasta to steak dinners. The overall theme is an Italian alleyway with beautiful paintings and live music. They offer a full bar, and two rooms to dine in. On Friday and Saturday nights it is typically crowded due to the popularity of the restaurant. If you like quality Italian food, then Michael's Trattoria is for you! more
