I have been to this office at least three times in the last month and a half and each visit has been as pleasant as possible. Dr. Gutierrez is extremely friendly, understanding and non-judgmental. I do recommend a visit with Dr. Gutierrez. He has a great personality and we both laughed when he said ""I hope I don't have to see you again any time soon!"" Thanks a bunch for treating my benign, albeit annoying condition! more

I was recently diagnosed with malignant melanoma of my neck area. A friend of mine noticed a dark spot that looked unhealthy last year and I made an effort to go see Dr. Gutierrez the following week. Sure enough it turned out to be melanoma. I have spent my whole life in the sun and didn't take much care of my skin. more

I've had psoriasis for at least 5 years and it's just terrible, my knees and both elbows are especially affected. I'm a doctor so I have to wear scrubs a lot, I have been embarrassed to show my arms. It's been a real distraction and people notice it all the time. I began treatment about 6 weeks ago, and this is the best I've been since the psoriasis came on. I've completely turned around, and people have stopped noticing my arms and knees. I'm really happy with the way my psoriasis has responded to Dr. Gutierrez's treatment.? more

I had an appointment to have a mole check done. Dr. Gutierrez was very thorough with my check up and even informed me of other things that I needed to have looked at. They did biopsy on my moles, more than I thought, but they let me know that none were cancerous so that was a complete relief. In the same visit the took care of some planters warts on the bottom of my feet that I had not been able to get rid of with shelf products. It only took three treatments and they were GONE! I was surprised to see them go. Thank you Dr. Gutierrez for helping me out. I have already referred many of my friends to your practice and hope they have an experience as you gave me. Unfortunately, I went to the first place I found that would take my insurance. On my first appointment Dr. Shaw identified 17 (YES, 17) moles that would need biopsies including a spot that was on my lower lip. He ended up doing only 7 that day and wanted to bring me back for several other visits to get the rest. This started to sound like he was making money per biopsy!?!? In the mean time, I made an appt with another Dr who said that Dr Guitierrez's practice has a reputation for being over zealous with the amount of cutting they like to do. Additionally, he told me not to worry abou the thing on my lip, told me it was just a freckle under the skin, and then showed me that HE HAD ONE TOO!!! Of the remaining dozen moles that Dr. Shaw wanted to biopsy, the new Dr. suggested all but one simply be placed on a watch list!!! Amazing difference. Not to mention the office staff was 10X more helpful and friendly. Cons: Unnecessary Biopsies - Must be getting paid on Piecework... more

We recently took our 7 mos old to get checked for excema and were reffered to Dr. Guitierrez office from our pediatrician. My husband took our baby over and explained to Dr. Shah that he was getting what looked to be excema my husband also pointed out my baby had mongolian spots(for those that dont know, these are very common bluish colored marks that appear on children of ethinic decent from birth) The uneducated Dr assumed that my husband was lying and mistakingly assumed these marking's were bruises. more

I am also very dissapointed of Gutierrez, Michael M, MD - Mid-Florida Dermatology. I was there today and he didn't even look at me for one second when he gave me a diagnostic! I felt very dissapointed. I DO NOT recommended him at all! He is A Dr that does not take the time to talk to you and he's only explanation was ""This is what i do for bussiness and you have nothing"". more

I recently saw Dr. Shah and was extremely disappointed with him. He was very unprofessional. Dr. Shah was quick to diagnos without even stepping close to exam my condition. He obviously did not review the 5 pages of medical history I completed before entering the room because he assumed I was pregnant (which I am not). He handed me 2 prescriptions and asked if I had any more questions. He did this without any explanation of his diagnosis, treatment options, etc. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DR. SHAH. After asking him several questions out of pure curiousity of what his answers would be, I apologized for wasting both of our time and walked out. Pros: None. Cons: Everything. more

Saw Dr Shah - totally unprofessional - worst MD experience of my life (I'm 66). Had only one visit and went to another dermatologist who was great. Don't go here! The room was dimly lit, he barely glanced at my condition, informed me he had other clients when I asked questions. more
