Unbelievably rude! They rent very weak functioning carpet cleaners!! Then say they pulls up water off our linoleum floor just fine! So oh well lady! Meanwhile I've sucked up 7 1/...

Fantastic Place to Shop 4/3/2011

I've been shopping at Mentor Family Foods for years, and they just get better and better. The over all service is amazing. Can't find something? Just ask. The employees go out of their way to help. If they don't carry the product, they take your name and number and search it out and contact you with the results. For some reason the news herald stopped getting the ad to me, so I called the store and a manager there went out of his way to get me the ad on a weekly basis. You won't get that service in the big box stores. Their prices are fantastic. They have more everyday low prices and in-store sales then any other store in the area. The weekly circular is also top notch. The store is always clean and people are always friendly. I never shop anywhere else. more

Great Family Store 11/3/2009

This is a great family store with competitive prices, fresh produce, wonderful meats, and fantastic customer service. I'll never shop anywhere else for all my groceries. If they don't have something I need, they are more then happy to find it and get it for me. I love this STORE!. more

A bit pricey, but Milk is a GREAT Deal 7/24/2006

My husband and I found this store when we lived down the street from them in Mentor. My understanding is there was a large fire that gutted the place, and they recently remodeled and opened the store... well, recently being a few months ago. This store is, to my opinion, a bit more expensive than the Giant Eagle down the street. Staples tend to cost more, and the bread always seems to be on its last leg before purchase. The main reason that I shop here, however, is the amazing deal on Dairymen's milk... $0.99/half gallon. Even though we have moved about 10 minutes away, about every week we go and stock up on the 8 half gallon allotment. Certain sales seem to be everyday, too, such as Sunny D and Bob Evans sausage. Kahn's hot dogs are there too. In terms of ambiance, this store is smaller and more quaint, and in some ways, seems a bit old-fashioned in its layout. It is clean, and the staff is nice enough. If you need a few things, this is a great place. There is a $10 minimum on debit card purchases, which is a pain. I wouldn't recommend coming here for your primary grocery shopping needs. I stick solely to milk, hot dogs, sausage, and sometimes, bread. Go to Giant Eagle for anything else. more

Nice family store 8/3/2005

This is a smaller, local grocery store that is in a great location if you need to run for something and don't want to go far. There isn't a chain grocery store too close by. Their prices are comparable to those of the chains, and they often run great sales and do accept manufacturers coupons. The produce selection is very good, often including locally grown, in-season fruits and vegetables. The meat department has a butcher who will cut your meat to order. The store itself has always looked a little outdated, but they are in the process of a big remodel that should brighten up the place a lot. This is a nice place to shop, that still feels like a family-owned shop. more
