I recommend you stay away from here! A new Meinke opened on Gulf to Bay in Clearwater, FL. I went to take advantage of an open day coupon. Oil, lube and tire rotation $14.95 and brake flush $49.00 and a free ac check. I talked to Tony, George and Mike. Here what I can tell you.. I pick up my truck it was getting late and I just got in and drove home. When I got home I looked at the front tire and immediately knew that it had not been rotated, I then looked under at my tie rod ends and could tell they never had a grease gun on the fitting, it was dirty. So now what else did they not do? Did they flush the brakes without taking the wheels off? They spilled brake fluid on my inner fender below the master cylinder. It looks like they changed the oil but did they reset the reminder? They called and told me my ac was low on freon and they would have to draw the system down and check for a leak. I passed on having it serviced. When I turned to AC on it was blowing hot now. I put on my gauges more

Wow! What a contrasting experience from the other reviewer. I worked with Dave who was nice but terribly stressed out, forgetting simple tasks, and dealing with too many things at once to be of much help. I took my Toyota in for a simple oil change/tire rotation and they COMPLETELY (royally) screwed that up. How does one mess up an oil change? By failing to let me know that the Toyota oil filter I had brought in for them to use looked SIMILAR TO, but was *NOT* the correct filter for my Solara. So consequently ALL 5 quarts of their fresh oil had leaked out all over the engine and their engine bay! What a clean-up disaster for them. What a stinky, smoky, oil-filled car for me. I was smelling residual oil smoke coming in through my air vents for two days. Then on the third day, coming back from the airport, I noticed a long, oily trail behind my car as I was pulling in to mom's house. WTF?! I was really alarmed as this was not a good sign. My elderly father who speaks limited English went there to repair the muffler on his car. The muffler had a lifetime warranty that the shop refused to honor. The owner told him the car had been in an accident (not true) and he could not honor the warranty. He then changed the story and said the car needed a full tune-up and this is what caused the muffler to get damaged. Bottom line, he tried to rip of my father. I have filed a complaint with Meineke Corp Office, Better Business Bureau, and FL Dept of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs. My father took the car to Midas who repaired it, and told him the car DID NOT NEED a tune up or other repair. Midas in Clearwater FL is UNETHICAL. I would not recommend ANYONE to go there unless you have money to burn. more

I took my Lexus to National Auto for a quote on repairs, having been there before for repairs. I had noticed a developing noise that sounded like a muffler going bad, however the noise was coming from the front of the car.\r \r They performed an inspection and gave me a written quote for $2,258.00 to replace the catalytic converter as that is what their inspection discovered to be the problem.\r \r I took the car to Tommy and Rich at Meineke Car Care Center, 2436 Gulf-to-Bay Blvd, Clearwater, FL, 33765 (727) 799-6869, and they performed their inspection. Their inspection revealed that there was not a problem with the catalytic converter, but that the problem was actually the flex pipe near the catalytic converter.\r \r Tommy and Rich replaced the Flex Pipe and also did an Oil Change for a total price, out the door, of under $225.\r \r For any future issues with my car I will go to Meineke and see Tommy and Rich. more
