My bf and I went to Mecca for the first time for dinner last Friday night. We had a reservation for 8:30 and the restaurant wasn't too busy, to our surprise. The bar area was huge and techno music was quite loud, which we could hear clearly from our dining table. After we placed our order for food, we had to ask our server to bring over the bread because it didn't look like it would ever come on its own. The butter spread was delicious though. Food really took forever, but once it arrived, we were very happy because everything was delicious! The lobster bisque was served in a clear glass container with a seal-tight lid. I could have had 3 servings of it! We had the best Kumamotos here. Don't know why... but they were so plump, HUGE (double the usual size), and super fresh! Better than any we've had at Hog Island, Foreign Cinema, etc. Kobe beef and pork chop was fair, but dessert was both pleasing to the eyes and yummy to the mouth! I think the presentation deserved an A+. Our waiter noticed that our food took forever, so he informed the host and he stopped by our table and offered us complimentary dessert wine. Nice touch.
Pros: lobster bisque, excellent dessert
Cons: slow service
