I have had much success with the medical staff at this facility, but the receptionists have much to learn about common courtesy. They are rude and inconsiderate!

Improved the quality of my life 7/14/2009

Good: She was on the mark for thyroid med adjustments. I needed much higher levels than my primary was willing to go.. Bad: Three months to get an appointment, I called two others that were closed to new patients and five months out. It seems to be the nature of this specialist.. Improvements: Service speed was lacking at my first and second appointment, those with the nurse practioner have been great.. Other: Proper treatment is in the range of a TSH of 1 to 2, many primary only treat to below 5. Dr Giaradino will gradually get you to the right level that is best for your health. For anyone with multiple medical issues of thyroid and something else endocrynologist treatment is a MUST!. more

Competent and Caring 5/6/2009

I have been a patient of Dr. Giardino for a couple of years. During this time I have been completely satisfied with her and her office staff. It may be true that, because she is an incredibly hard working and talented endocrinologist, she has more patients than she can easily handle. Regardless, having been to a half dozen or more physicians over the years for guidance with my diabetes, I have found her to be the best informed and effective. I do not think that her practice deserves some of the calumny directed at it. John C more

They Don't listen to patient 4/21/2009

It is a shame. I liked Dr. G., but her staff is horrible and keep her well guarded. They do not listen or respect the way you are feeling and only rely on lab results for their final answer. I think I know how I feel as a patient and they just don't get it. It is a very impersonal office. more

BAD SERVICE! HORRIBLE! NOT EVEN A HELLO WHEN YOU WALK IN! 2/5/2009

I have been to this office twice with a loved one, and from one looking inside tring to help and figure a new Diabetic's situation and tring to get the best care for the one I love, I felt LIKE I SHOULD ATTEND THE VISIT! well I felt completely uncomfortable and IT WAS NOT A WELCOMING OFFICE AT ALL. I am in sales and I will tell you if I ever talked to my customers with such little respect and didn't know my product or service, I would be out of business. I think that Dr. G should spend more time in the office on her current patients, rather than loose all her faitful ones. The hands they are in without her, are about as knowledgeable as the average consumer. DON'T know much, They say things just to say them, They don't know facts and certainly don't care! If I worked as hard as Dr. G I'm sure I would want to know who is working for me and maybe who should not be! Anyhow, not a warm office. very cold and dry, and I am not talking temperature. Do your research and find a new place that actually cares. Thats exactly what we are doing now. One more thing, When we asked the NP, or RN, If we could schedule an appointment she said, "Why I am noy good enough for you". WOW is right! She said she is so booked and would not even attempt to schedule an appointment, Did not even care to ask or try to get one, Even though she knew how important it was to her patient! Just and FYI. Do your homework! Thanks for listening and I hope this helped. more

Dr Giardino issues yes 8/27/2007

I am a patient of Dr Giardino. Bad: The wait is long, she never personally calls her patients, I needed a thorough evaluation and she never sent me for further testing for a condition that was beleievd to have to which another endocrinologist proved I have. It appears she does not want the tough cases since she is so over-booked. She has an office secretary to dissemminate medical interpretations to the patient and diagnoises so any questions regarding the data there is no one that is qualified to answer them. The answer is usually, The blood work looked fine Good: Good listener, seems to know her stuff, nice person. Endocrinology is easy if you have the blood work. As far as going the extra mile when endocrinology becomes hard and the blood reads normal but the symptoms of an endocrine problem are evident, she is not the physician you want. She wants the easy cases only. more

Dr. Giardino is wonderful 11/8/2005

My daughter and I are both patients here. Dr. Giardino is very, very smart and is an excellent doctor. The only problem is she is overbooked. It takes 3 months to get an appointment for a new patient. The doctor only sees patients until they are on a treatment program, then you are turned over to the nurse practitioner. There are huge waits in this office. The last time I was there, I spent almost 2 hours in the waiting room. I always leave feeling glad I waited though, since I really trust this doctor. more
