Best

Steve served us and was as efficient as they come. We got everything on time and with care and attention to detail!! Ruben

Worst

Cozy bar and nice help but the kind of food Gordon Ramsey would come in and tear a place up for.

Change your oil, lower your prices, improve your menu and maybe you will recover some of your former glory! more

Yuck, Lousy Food & Bad Service at a High Price. To net it out, this is not a good place to eat. The meal was not that good and the service was slow. I really like other restaurants in Beaverton better more

Make other plans 3/20/2009

We just returned from what was to be a celebration at this restaurant. We were very disappointed by the food. Our kids came with us and they didn't even eat their food--how hard is it to cook a grilled cheese sandwich or cheeseburger? The seafood was definitely off, not prepared well & sides weren't even trying to be good. Risotto that would be easily bettered by boxed risotto from the supermarket. Pros: friendly service Cons: absolutely terrible food more

Good chain retaurant you can depend on 11/22/2007

Has part of the McCormick & Schmitt chain you can count on the quality of food, selection, and atmosphere. This location is now a bit off the beaten path compared to the new location at Bridgeport. That makes it a bit easier to get into and less parking issues. Pros: good to great service and staff. Lots of parking. Cons: some short cuts in food prep. It is a chain, so the menu from one to the other is too similar more

It was just ok 7/21/2007

We had an appetizer and two entrees (no drinks) and spent $60 and it was NOT worth it. The seared tuna was bland and chewy. The shark steak was so overpowered by blackened seasoning that we could have been eating a shoe for all I know because that was rubbery, too. Our waitress was a little annoying, overly friendly and working at a super high speed without allowing us time to look at the menu, or talk to each other. I guess that is better than a waitress who isn't around at all, but something in between would have been nice. Food was edible but not great. I would not go there again. Pros: Good mints at hostess station, friendly staff, clean bathrooms Cons: food, atmosphere, cost more

Great time, reasonable price... 3/20/2007

We were seated within 5 minutes of our reservation time. Our waiter (Roy) was Awesome-He was very personable, knowledgeable of the specials (& dishes in general), & friendly with a great sense of humor. He was attentive, but he wasn't a hovercraft :) My Mom & I are not big eaters, so we asked if we could share a meal. Roy said that was fine (& didn't treat us any differently), They split our meal in the kitchen & we had a delicious dinner (& dessert)! We had Crab/Shrimp cakes for our appetizers, Stuffed Salmon for dinner, & a triple dessert (Blueberry cobbler, Creme Broule, & a sort of rich, dark- Chocolate Mousse)... OMG! EVERYTHING WAS SOOO GOOD!! more

Overpriced Bland Food 10/9/2006

This use to be the best seafood in Portland but it has really gone down hill. We can actually make better tasting fish at home with a little butter, wine, and seasoning. They need to send the chefs back to cooking school. The booths are very tight so if you are a little overweight, don't ask for a booth. Very expensive for bland food, we were very disappointed in this restaurant. Won't go back again, we prefer the regional fish chain that is on Cedar Hills Blvd. Pros: Waiters Cons: Food Quality is Bland, small tight booths. more

$12 plate of lettuce 9/23/2006

My wife and I had two $50 gift certificates, so we figured we'd get a nice meal. When we ordered our dinner, the waitress(she was nice, actually) asked if we'd like a salad with it. We ordered the 'tomato' salad, which turned out to be a plate of lettuce, a few frozen shrimp, and two sliced tomatoes on the side. They threw in a big hunk of mozarella cheese as well...strange indeed. For the main course I had the shrimp and scallop pasta, my wife had the salmon and halibut dish. The food was just decent, but nothing to write home about. I think Lean Cuisine makes something similar. Needless to say the bill ended up coming to $50.40, the salad was 12 bucks! And of ocurse the waitress told us that if we use both of our $50 certificates, the one that's covering the $.40 would be used up and we wouldn't get the balance back. Oh gee, can we?!!? God bless this fish house, it was the best $12 plate of lettuce I've ever had. Pros: good bar menu Cons: price more

grease, in three acts. 9/7/2006

We had gift certificates, so they had more than one chance to get it right. On each visit the service was always adequate, however the poor staff seems to have had their souls sucked out of them by the corporate beast that McCormicks has become. I couldnt help but feel like we were being attended to by a zombie fresh out of a miss manners training course. Perhaps I wouldnt be so bitter had my food contained flavor, or shown any evidence of care or creativity in its preparation. In fact I may have even just been happy to find a piece of fish at all buried somewhere in the pile of breading and oil that was placed in front of me. Or maybe I wouldnt have minded so much had the prices even remotely reflected the quality of the chum I received. I say give your money to someone more deserving, or stay home and dig through the fridge. I dont doubt that you will find something better than McCormicks could offer you. more

Very unfriendly waitress, ruined the evening, will not be back. Pros: Good Food Cons: very smokey bar, Service more

Rude Seating Host 1/9/2005

The seating host is very RUDE. He was not only rude but very unfriendly towards the guest. Remembering the incident, the seating HOST was adamant that they cannot seat us close to our aquintances, the area was not full & there were no sign that the tables were reserved. We requested to no avail & he even raised his voice over me. I will never set foot into that restaurant again. They are the epitome of RUDENESS !!! Pros: NOTHING Cons: , HOST more

Always a pleasant experience 12/13/2004

When I think seafood in Beaverton, I think McCormick's. It seems that every dish is bursting in flavor, to employ a cliché. It's also my preferred place to unwind for happy hour. Pros: Daily menus, no waiting, great lounge more

Overpriced and Not Tasty 8/12/2004

We had a $75 gift certificate and the meal for 2 of us cost $84. I had mahi mahi and my wife had ono. Both were not seasoned enough, very plain and bland. The salad, bread, and wine was very good. Service was good. We really prefer the lower cost regional fresh fish restaurants in Portland area. Will not go back to McCormick's because it is overpriced and bland food. The booths did not have that much room, very tight fit. Pros: bread, wine Cons: , bland food, booth's are small more

One of our favorites! 2/14/2003

One of our favorite restaurants for seafood, fish and Steak. Always a fine meal and good dining experience! Pros: great seafood Cons: parking more

Mmmm Mmmm Good 7/30/2002

When i went to McCormicks about a week ago, the food was excellent and so was the service. Our waiter, Aaron, was very friendly, and not too hard on the eyes either. He made our night on the town more enjoyable than expected and his service was absolutely wonderful. I strongly recomend McCormicks for fast, friendly, excellent service. more
