I had an emergency, because I was about to take my aunt's ashes to a foreign country, and the funeral home that cremated her, in Connecticut,gave us a metal urn, not telling us that we would need to carry the ashes in a plastic urn to get through airport security. We called McGuinness Funeral Home, and Richard gave me a temporary container, free, and transferred the ashes to the plastic container. They did it 10 minutes after I called them. They were very nice about it, and explained what else was required to transport the remains. If this is any indication of how they are with a funeral. then I can highly recommend them. more

Nice funeral home 3/30/2009

I have been to several funerals here. One was my mother, another was a personal friend, and a third was a friend's father. All of them were lovely. Their website is also easy to navigate if you need information about funerals or if you want to leave messages for the family.\r Very professional service. more

When my mother passed this is the funeral home that we used. For the circumstances, this was a very nice place to be. It was comfortable and serene. more

They handle everything with the right amount of care 8/8/2008

I have many family members pass on and we have always used McGuiness Funeral Home. They have always guided our family through a difficult time with great care and empathy. It'd hard to review something like this because it's such a time a grief that your not really thinking about the service your receiving but with that said I never had to question it. They anticipate your every need and have it for you before you ask. That's service. I hope that you or I don't need their service anytime sooner but it's very reassuring to know that they are there if we do! more
