Although it is expensive to take the helicopter tour, I would highly recommend Maverick to anyone. For many this would be considered a once in a lifetime experience. The staff where professional at all times, we never felt rushed which I think is very important. The visibility from the helicopter was excellent. more

I did the windancer sunset tour on the 04/08/2012 which was just breathtaking. It was my first time in Vegas and visiting the Canyon was high on my priority list of places to see. It did not dissapoint and nor did Maverick. Rick was our pilot who made the experience that much better - thanks Rick! He was friendly, informative, pointed out all the landmarks, gave us some history on the local areas and was able to chuck in some humour and good tunes from his ipod! Please pass on my thanks to Rick. A totally unforgettable experience and one that I would like to do again on my next visit to Vegas! more

This was an amazing experience that is not to be missed. Our pilot, Boyd, was brilliant. He gave us loads of information about the surrounding area. All the staff we encountered were very professional and friendly from the bus driver to the check in staff. Cannot recommend this trip and company highly enough! more

We had a fantastic time on our ride, from the driver who picked us up at hotel to our pilot, the whole experience was awesome. our pilot-i think his name was shawn- was awesome, very very friendly and professional, also very funny. he made the trip great. when we come back to vegas we will do it again. super experience !! more

Our daughter and son-in-law gave us the Vegas strip tour for Xmas. We've never flew in a helicopter before. Our tour was Jan 2,2012. We absolutely loved it. We were a bit skeptical and scared to say the least after the Sundance crash in Decemeber. When we got to the building and saw how professional and friendly everyone was, theup to date building and all the new helicopters on the runway we felt very relieved and more relaxed. The experience was great to the point that we are planning a Grand Canyon tour by helicopter now when we return to Vegas in April. Thumbs up to Maverick Helicopters. The Bellagio, where we stayed during our vacation in Las Vegas, recommended Maverick for a helicopter tour of the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon. My husband and I had a little difficulty finding the shuttle bus to the airport although we showed up early. It was my first-ever trip in a helicopter, and I'm afraid of heights, so I had to close my eyes a bit at first, but I enjoyed the flight tremendously. The views were so beautiful to me. All employees at Maverick were very professional. I wish that I had absorbed my surroundings more when I was standing on the bottom of the canyon rather than talking to the pilot and eating the snacks. Maverick is probably a little more expensive than other helicopter touring companies but is worth the money for the quality. You do listen to rock music while you're up in the air, but the pilot gives lots of useful information about what you're seeing, and you are in flight for a good amount of time so the flight doesn't go by too fast.\r \r P.S. In searching the web I saw your posting about your bad experience with Maverick. I was shocked when I read this as our goal it to make sure all guest enjoy any of the Maverick Helicopter Tours as a tour of a lifetime. I am requesting that you contact me through our reservation department at your earliest convenience so I can resolve this bad experience. We paid US$109 & boarded the helicopter with excited anticipation of great views of the Las Vegas strip. We couldn't have landed more disappointed. The pilot flew a left hand pattern up & down the strip. Sitting at the rear right hand side of the helicopter, my friend & I saw absolutely nothing! We complained to the manager but his only solution was for us to take the flight again sitting on the left side of the helicopter, but we would have to pay again! A complete rip off. Cons: you won't see a thing sitting on the right hand side of the helicopter more

First let me start by saying that I'm scared of heights...so when taking a helicopter tour to the Grand Canyon was suggested I was a bit worried. We decided that I would give it a shot. Our reservation was made with Maverick Helicopters to the Grand Canyon. When walking to the helicopter my husband made sure to let the pilot know of my fears. The pilot was so sweet and took my fear into consideration when flying. It was a beautiful trip and the Grand Canyon should be seen this way. I would recommend Maverick for the kind staff and the amazing flight to see the beauty of the Grand Canyon. All I keep telling myself is if we had decided to drive that would have been a long long road trip. Thanks Maverick more
