Matter of Health Inc

A Matter of Health is one of the greatest store in Manhattan specially in the Upper East Side. Thank you to the store and it's staff I am having healthy food through recommendations from the staff at A Matter of Health. I love the recipe to make quinoa salad that the manager recommended to me. Is healthy and it takes about 30 minutes to prepare it. I do not agree with the previous reviews, because probably they were written biased by irritation. I remember when I was there one day and the owner told a woman not to squeeze and to pick the best spears of asparagus to put them as one bunch together because it was not fair for other customers that will have to come buy the other bunches that will be uneven and smashed. The asparagus looked great but the woman looked weird. To me the asparagus were fine but I guess for that woman the spears didn't. I will strongly recommend A Matter of Health to any one. more

This is the last time I shop at Matter of Health. Despite living a block away, I would much rather go to Whole Foods in Union Square than put up with unhelpful staff and a manager who snickers when his staff begin arguing with customers. more

This place is amazing because the staff is very helpful and the managers as well the owners are very knowledgeable about their stuff. I live in the west side and I have been buying most of my products in this little health food store for the past 10 years. The prices are reasonable and trust me you can get almost anything in this store. What ever you can't find in the whole entire city you can get it there and if the product is not in stock they can special order the products at very good discounted price. I know that recently they opened another location in Nanuet, NY I wish they could open one in the west side so can buy even more. I recommend this store and it's organic juice bar, the juices and shakes are very good!!!!! Stacy more

WARNING! Don't buy from this store. This store sells spoiled products. I recently purchased 2 containers of vegetarian chicken salad that were covered with mold even though it was a week before the expiration date the store put on them. The manager would not even acccept responsibility or refund my money. His excuse was "we didn't make it here". He would not acknowledge that it's the store's responsibility to make sure they are selling fresh products or at least give a refund. The same thing happened to a friend of mine recently. Don't take any chances with this store. more

This Upper East side health food store on the corner of 77th Street is bursting with a large selection of vitamins and supplements. Store is super clean and neat, staff is very helpful and will readily come from behind the counter to help you find something. They sell a good selection of boxed cereals as well as loose granola, nuts, millet and other grains in clear plastic bins each with their own scoop. Refrigerated section has good variety of prepared foods. Small deli counter in the back. Free samples of tea and free magazines available. Good prices too! more
