Greatest grocery store ever 9/28/2011

uummmm. This was the greatest experience of life. even better then the birth of my first child. I walk in and the worker s were so nice to me. There was a cart boy who insisted on bringing me a cart. god bless his soul! and then there was a tall read headed boy who was very intelligent and nice. And every one else there was really nice. especially that becky simmers girl. Great store. to bad they are closing more

great place to shop 4/4/2011

Martin's Country Market is a very nice grocery store. It has a fresh bake shop with lots of yummy treats, you need to see the cakes that they make-- unbleivable creations that are so moist when you eat them you. The produce is the best quality that you can find - with local produce when it is season. more

poor customer service 8/24/2010

The Ephrata Martin's Country Market is so good, I thought that the Morgantown store would be the same. Boy, was I wrong. I stopped there at about 7:30pm tonight. I was tired and hungry and just wanted to grab something fast. I found some unsliced bread and took the loaves to the bakery to try to have them sliced. I was greeted by a boy who looked to be about 15 years old. I asked him if I could get the bread sliced, but he said he was too young to run the machine and nobody was back there right then. I asked if the bakery was closed, and he said no, somebody should be in the store to help me. He apologized and suggested I go to customer service to see if they could page somebody to help me. I went up and a girl asked if she could help me. She was not rude, but definitely not the friendliest girl I'd ever met. I didn't get her name, but she didn't have any eyebrows! She said the bakery closed at 6pm and there was nobody in the store who could help. I asked to speak to a manager and the only manager working that night was the dairy manager! There was no real store manager working! He told me that the bakery does not slice bread! When I told him he was losing customers - including me - to Walmart since their bakery is open MUCH later and they happily slice bread, he shrugged his shoulders, said, ""Oh well"" and walked away! I had over $50 worth of groceries picked out and I put everything away and went right to Walmart! I told my son that we will NEVER go there again. I'm all for helping the small businesses, but not if they are going to treat me like a second class citizen. more
