Editorial review from Citysearch 8/25/2013

No, just no.\r \r Every single time I go to this bar me and my friends are completely overcharged for drinks that are not worth it whatsoever. The owner, not the regular staff, is always up charging items from the menu and is constantly shorting the staff on the tips that they so rightly deserve.\r \r The entire bar is constantly filled with cigarette and cigar smoke, it's like they've never opened the doors to air it out... ever. The regular bartenders are great, but the owner has a serious attitude problem and needs to get it fixed if he is planning on keeping his business afloat.\r \r Bands are usually alright and way too loud, but there should not be a cover charge to get in on the weekends. Overall, this place just isn't worth your hard earned money. more

Classless Place 5/9/2011

There are not a lot of clubs to go dancing at in the Spring area that offer live music that I enjoy. I have been to Martinis & More on Sawdust several times and have not had any too many issues until recently. The service is terrible! I don't know if there is a staffing shortage or what and the staff is rude and tactless! I don't know if they have some inside scoop on an upcoming water shortage but they are stingy on providing a glass of water when requested. Tonight I went there for the buffet and happy hour. I was very thirsty upon my arrival and requested a glass of water. I was told I could not have a glass of water until I ordered a drink. (2 drink min. in order to eat the buffet) I expalined to the waitress that I understood the 2 drink min. and planned to order accordingly. She tried to force a bottle of water of Avian on me which I refused. When I finally did order a glass of wine, I was given the glass of water that I requested in the first place. I mean come on!!! What human being is going to deny another human being a glass of water! The waitress said it was their policy. Well, ya know what? Maybe she should look inside of yourself and decide if you really want to work for an employer who sets such limits! She is just as bad as the management! You are not a customer at Martini's and More on Sawdust Road. You are nothing more than a means to an end! There is a rule of thumb in business. For every dissatisfied customer, you lose ten customers! Heads up M&M Management! TABC may be headed your way! One can only hope! more

Cool lounge bar 4/1/2010

This is the same review I left at google for this place.\r \r I'm new to this side of town and stopped by this place a few weeks ago. They had a live band and my friend and I really loved the place and the atmosphere. It's kinda small and dimly lit but it has a really nice feel. The staff was friendly but I can't speak to the prices as I wasn't the one paying. This place left a real impression on me and it will definitely be one of my favorite spots on this side of town. We went on a weeknight so I can't really speak to the weekend scene, plan on checking that out soon though so I might post another review Pros: Good atmosphere Cons: small-ish more

DO YOUR THANG! AND LET PEOPLE DO THEIRS 5/28/2009

I have attended Martini's in The Woodlands, Tx for a while and everytime I go I have enjoyed myself I actually had my Fiancee's Bday party their and have invited plenty of friends & family.. If you know how to have fun then matters where you are you will do just that. The people are freindly and they let you do you.... everyone has a good time we make our fun along with whatever band is playing but our Favorite is Fidelity Max...for those of you are to caught up in a 5.00 cover charge or someone not smiling at you...Here is just a little word of advice loosing up! make your own fun enjoy life don't worry about the small things keep an open mind and let yourself just enjoy what is.... and worry about the rest lata because life WILL go on.. your life is what you make it!!! Pros: Enjoy! more

HORRIBLE TERRIBLE GROSS 7/2/2008

Horrible service.... All they had to do was serve a martini.... if you ask for water to accompany your Grey Goose martini they will toss a plastic bottle of water on your table. The excuse is that their bartenders don't make enough money. The atmosphere is equal to an ICE house with a lower class atmosphere. The patrons of this ""bar"" tend to wear elastic pants and polyester. It is capital ""TACKY."" Don't go unless you are into bad food, bad martinis, 80's Tommy LEE music, and bad service. I was truly looking forward to going to this Martini bar but they completely missed my expectations in fact they shocked me. The manager was a female that was not able to handle other customers that were upset by numerous problems. We watched an encounter that she was not educated enough to handle. Shocking and train wreck is the best way to describe our first and last experience with Martinis and more.... Maybe it should be called ""Martinis and LESS'..... Larry if you are of the same caliber as your partner you are in big trouble. more

Cover Charge for A Karaoke Band 4/27/2008

I have been to Martini's and More on several occasions and have been disappointed in the bands they have there on Friday and Saturday nights. They charge a 5.00 cover charge and the bands that play there are usually a small combo that plays along with pre-recorded music. I am a big fan of live music and have alot of friends who play in local bands. I don't mind paying a cover if the band has good musicians. The combo/karaoke bands that play there are just not worth it. I know that there were some decent bands booked there at one time. Martini's and More management called the band, cancelled them and then told patrons that the band cancelled at the last minute to make it look like it was the band's fault and not theirs'. \r \r As far as the drinks, they are weak and some of the staff can be a little snobby.\r \r On the upside, the club is very nice inside and the drinks are not too pricey. \r \r If you want to hear live music and have a good drink, this is not the place to go. Pros: Ambience Cons: 5.00 cover charge for Karaoke Bands- Small Dance Floor more

Martini's on Vintage (Louetta location) 11/2/2007

My wife and I live close by the Martini's on Louetta and have been there many times. We have always been well pleased with the entertainment as well as the staff. We have not yet tried their food, but hear that it's excellent. However, their Martini's are FANTASTIC... especially the Chocolate Martini! We always enjoy the bands that they have each time we visit and think they should have a larger dance area, but everyone seems to enjoy it. We are both smokers, but enjoy the nice clean atmosphere inside but appreciate that they provide a very nice outside patio just for us smokers. It's also very nice that it is more geared toward the middle aged group and the jazz and blues type of entertainment completes the package. As for the staff, we'd like to say... the Englishman who greets us at the door everytime, who always has a smile and is very professional while making us feel right at home. Then there's the bartenders, who's always busy but can make the best drinks in town! Finally, the waitresses are always so friendly and quick to serve you with a smile. One note, we too noticed the website isn't always updated at the beginning of the month but it really doesn't matter who's playing there... it's always a good time! Pros: Clean, comfortable atmosphere, plenty of parking Cons: N/A more

the steaks are better than Perrys and you should try the Prime Brochette 9/2/2007

my wife was told about this place about a week ago. i called and made a reservation and had a wonderful time. the beer was cold and my wife had a martini called a flurt-tini...it was delicious! we were told to try the prime brochette to start and to end the dinner with a steak. the prime brochette is AWESOME!!!! i did order a ribeye and my wife ordered a fried lobster tail! its not something im used to but it has lemon pepper crust and it was great and the steak fork tender! the chef came out to talk to us and he knew his food and he made us feel as if he came in to cook for us. the ambiance is nice, the service is average. there is a five dollar cover charge per person at the door on the weekends, but the chef said that we would get our 10 dollars back because we ordered entrees, and we did. he also said that the money goes to the band, that is how they are paid. we had a great time and i will be going back. its a 30 plus crowd, and it did get crowed. my biggest con...the servers need to know the menu. more

Not worth the $5 cover 7/13/2007

****** This review is about the Louetta location NOT the Woodlands location! ****\r This is the third time for my wife and I and some friends to go to this bar. The first time the band advertised to be playing that night was not there, we were still charged a five dollar cover charge. The band was average at best but, we did not say anything to the manager. The second time the advertised band showed up, they charged a five dollar per person cover charge and the band basically was just Karaoke with a music machine for the drums, piano, etc...we still did not say anything. That brings us to tonight. My wife checked their website and it showed this afternoon that Luther and the Healers were playing starting at 9:00 p.m. We get there at 8:35 and guess what NO Luther and the Healers. The doorman still wanted five dollars so we ask for the manager. The manager said that band had cancelled a week and a half ago and they did not update their website so they would let us in for free since we had come over just to see them. The ""replacement"" band did not show up and start setting up until after 10:00 and did not play their first song until 10:45! We will not go back. If you want to go there for the band CALL FIRST or you will be paying $5 a person for not very good entertainment that is not worth paying for. At the same time we were talking outside to the manager another couple came up and ask about the band and were told about the cover charge and they left. I feel they did not change their website showing the band change so they could still get customers in the door. If we would have paid a cover for tonight I would have demanded a refund. The band was horrible we left after 6 songs and should have left after 2 songs. Good Luck to you if you go! Pros: No smoking at Louetta location, clean, nice Cons: $5 cover for bad music, misleading entertainment more
