I had them make a ring for my fiancée and it turned out horrible. I could have had a grade school class make a better one out of macaroni noodles. The symmetry of the ring was way off; with the naked eye you could see the difference in the sides. The side stones were not set even and the overall work was spotty. When she took it back to voice her concerns a woman working behind the counter was huffing and puffing and rolling her eyes at her. The store owner, who made an agreement with me (satisfaction guaranteed), took money from my fiancée to compensate him for his time. I wouldn’t even take my dog’s collar to them to be repaired. \r

I would have given it a 0 rating, but that option isn’t available.\r

Since this wonderful ordeal my fiancée has found a new jeweler to make the ring. I won’t say who it is, only that they are in Troy. I don’t want people to think this is a ploy to get people to go to any one jeweler, it is simply it inform people the Marquis Jeweler is terrible at what they do. For someone to be in that line of work for so long and have absolutely no pride in their work and refuse to stand by their word is appalling. What happened to the days when a person was only as good as their word or the service they provided?
Pros: Um......NONE
Cons: EVERYTHING
