Mark Stephens, MD, has extensive experience in cataract and refractive surgery. With the most advanced techniques and technologies available, Dr. Stephens offers patients innovative alternatives to wearing glasses and contacts. He also helps glaucoma patients with high-tech treatments using laser and micro-invasive procedures. In addition, Dr. Stephens has experience with early detection and intervention of diabetic retinopathy and other diabetic eye diseases. After graduating summa cum laude from Southern Methodist University, Dr. Stephens earned his M.D. at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed his Ophthalmology Residency at the Medical College of Georgia, where he was named Chief Resident his final year.
