Good: His firm has a very glitzy image... a 'celebrity' of immigration attorneys. Seemed to have more knowledge and pull than other firms... Looks were deceiving.... Bad: 1. Made me feel like a criminal and that only he could 'save me'.
2. More money, more money, more money... only he could prepare forms (even though you can download them for free), and he charged a lot for each form.
3. Unnecessarily complicated the case... Made numerous errors, omissions which lead to ... you guessed it... more money...
4. I had to go to a different attorney... who first had to undo the crap Allen's firm did... then start all over... and do it right. Allen's firm wasted 6 years... Improvements: 1. Honesty
2. Honesty..
3. Honesty....
Allen cannot make money on simple cases... He complicates them. In my case, I was legal... all he had to do was file applications to continue my legal status while working the permanent solution. Oopsie... One error after another and delays led to 'illegal' status.... he ran up bills into the thousands.. Other: Go online... do research... all Immigration attorneys do is fill out forms, submit them. There is nothing that says that you cannot do this yourself. Any lawyer who claims that thy can do something over and beyond others are liars. Noone can speed up a process.... Incompetence and greed can definitely slow it down. Allen's firm is adept at shaking clients down for everything they have..
