Mark A. Osman represented me in a wrongful termination case. After over a year of working together I can assuredly say:
He lacks timeline management. He kept pushing critical dates back and did the bare minimum to get a third of what many attorneys before and since said my case was worth.
He’s lazy for lack of a better word. I spent days filling out forms, such as interrogatories, making calls, etc. that were met with, ‘Why are you doing this? Your attorney is the one who does this’.
He is not a strategic thinker; Doesn’t see the big picture.
He lies to his clients at times. On many occasions and several documented he told me one thing only to find out 3 weeks or more later the truth.
He gets intimidated easily by the defense.
He uses a, ‘Cheat Sheet’ of objections that is frankly embarrassing when sitting across from the defense.
He has average intelligence. I have many attorney friends I’ve made throughout the country over my career. They were brilliant and I had hoped for someone that I could trust had things in control and would think of things, look at, ‘Angles’ that brilliant people do. This unfortunately wasn’t the case.
Mr. Osman is nice and kind if you decide to work with him. He is at his best when trying to get you to retain him. He will always tell you things are going well. But, if you really think, ask and listen to a question you pose to him you may realize he is excellent at redirecting the conversation or suddenly has to go.
Mr. Osman is rare in that he is not arrogant and is very friendly and easy to talk to. In the end I did get a settlement about 10 times less than Mr. Osman put on the original Statement of Claim he sent to the defense in the beginning of the case.
