Wosrt Customer service ever, not worth the food!!! 5/14/2012

You can tell about someone’s character or business values by the people they employ and retain for cheap labor. I reluctantly went to the Mariscos Chihuahua on Ina because my mom wanted to eat sea food. Since I moved here to Tucson 10 years ago, I never ate at this place because of my own theory on Mexican Seafood, which is for another review. So upon entering the restaurant, it took about a good 5 minutes for someone to seat us when there hardly anyone customers. I first noticed a congregation of employees in the kitchen area. Some of them looked at us and did not react. Until I started to walk towards them is when someone came by to sit us. There was one big party of about 15 people to one side of the restaurant and about a total of 10 on the other side. About 20% capacity. Not busy at all. Comparing that there were 5 waiter/Waitresses. To say the least, it took them 30 minutes to come to our table to ask for our order. If it wasn’t for mom wanting sea food, I would have waited only 15 minutes and walked out. We gave our order and it took another 30 minutes for them to bring it out. The staff was not apologetic, and did not offer nothing but excuses as to why they were delayed. Their excuse was the large party they were attending. I asked them, why did they not take our order first? or explain to us that it was going to be delayed… and through the broken English from the waiter, he said nothing, but more excuses. He knew we were not happy with the service, and did not offer us a concession or apology. To say the least, our food finally came out, and my mother and I walked out the restaurant. Never again will I go there no matter the circumstances. I will not recommend to anyone and mom agrees too. Had a great fish dinner at Cheesecake factory. more

Not the best dinner experience 11/27/2011

My husband likes to try different restaurants and he has been wanting to try Mariscos Chihuahua. The inside of the restaurant was very nice. Well, let me just get to the point to save some people paying for a lousy dinner. For one the chips tasted very stale. As we were ordering, I asked for breaded fish with the shrimp in garlic sauce, my husband ordered a LARGE shrimp cocktail, my daughter ordered battered fish and fries and my stepson ordered a bean and cheese burrito. (Although they didn't have it on the menu the waitress said they can make it). When we got our order, we were VERY disappointed. My husbands cocktail looked liked a small and wasnt very good. My stepson's burrito was so small, we had to order another one because she failed to mention they only come in one size, ooh and they forgot the cheese in his burrito. On the 2nd one they brought, the cheese was in one spot. My shrimp was breaded (which i didn't order breaded shrimp) and they gave me a small side of what looked like oil with chopped up garlic and I don't know what else, and my daughters food was ok. As my husband paid the bill, he told the waitress that this was the worst dinner we have ever had and asked to speak to the manager. She called over a bus boy that said he wasn't the manager but he was in charge. I know everyone is entitled to thier own opionion, so I understand if you have to try it for yourself, but me and my family will never eat here again. As for a review, I had to give it a star to publish it, but i wouldn't even give it one star. more
