Nothing like getting your hair and nails done for $10! 12/9/2010

I go in weekly to get my hair done. There are few people in Provo that can do ethnic hair. Yes, you have to remember that they are students, but if you are willing to have patience and stick to the same person, you can build your own stylist that is like no other and also budget friendly. Being students they are not stuck in there own ways and listen to direction better than more seasoned stylists. Tita Abbott is AWESOME and I would recommend her to anyone. I also like that the instructors who haven't had much experience with my hair type are willing to listen and learn as well. When they get an entire product line in for ethnic hair I will give them 5 stars. more

Variety of services, but dirty and cheap. 11/11/2005

I had heard a lot about Bon Losee Academy before I went in and was surprised to see how dirty and old the place was when you step inside. It was very crowed, however. They offer a very wide variety of services all performed by students. You can request a senior student if you would like someone with more training. The services performed were satisfactory, but there were too many students sitting around and the ground was filthy. I was a bit disappointed overall with the dirty atmosphere, and the benches that you wait on have springs busting out of them- they are not comfortable at all. But, if you want a cheap deal and help students learn, this is the place for you. more

It's a coin toss... 11/1/2005

It's a coin toss when you go to Bon Losee Academy. As it's name suggest, this is a Beauty school, so the person cutting your hair may have have little experience cutting your hair. If you are fussy about your hair, I'd say go elsewhere, but if not, the very cheap prices can't be beat. PROS: Extremely low prices CONS: Higher than normal probablity of getting a bad hair cut. more

cheap haircuts 9/25/2005

I take my children here to get haircuts because it is so inexpensive and they do a pretty good job. I love that you can get in without an appointment. Their childs haircuts are less than 5.00. Theyre are advisors there to over look the haircuts because they are students They have other services like waxing, manicures, pedicures and facial services. Overall I have been impressed. more

A Good Cheap Haircut 9/5/2005

For those of us in the booming college town of Provo Ut it is not uncommon to find out that some one does not have the money to pay for a designer haircut. Not anymore! At Bon Losee one can get a great cut for not too much money. My only advise is that you make sure you are getting your hair cut by someone in the tower. more

Up a student's alley 9/2/2005

For those of us who don't know how to cut our own hair but don't have the money to spend at an average solon this is a great place. When making an appointment though make sure to schedule it with a slyist in the tower. The student in the tower are those who are just about to graduate from the accadamy, meaning they have been there just about a year. It is a great way to get a good hair cut for a good price. more

The great prices make it worth it! 8/30/2005

Bon Losee is a school, so all of the employees are still "in training" but as long as you know that going into it, it's no big deal. They sometimes take a little bit longer to get things done because they are learning, but they are also usually very conscientious because they want to make sure they get it right. They also have supervisors who check out the "final product." They provide a variety of services including haircuts, coloring and highlights, waxing, and manicures/pedicures at a very reasonable price. I have always had good experiences there. The employees don't get paid (since they are in training), so don't forget to tip them!! more

I have had good and bad experiences at Bon Losee. Some of their stylists are out of this world even with very little experience and others I wonder what they will do after school b/c the skill just isn't there. its hit and miss really!! more

Bad Hair Cut gotten here 6/9/2005

Sorry to say, the last two hair cuts that I have received here have been total disasters. Students are assigned at random to clients. Last two times, I have gotten students that are robot like and unable to effectively understand what it was I wanted. I ended up leaving unhappy and sorry that I had gone in. Once, I could forgive, Second time, no more. I will find another place with a little better customer service to get my hair done. more
