When my girls were very small, my spouse and I decided to buy a condo in Florida
so we would have an annual vacation spot. It took us a few years before we decided on Marco Island. Prior years we had stayed in St. Petersburg. When my
husband brought me over to the Island I was totally impressed by the prestigious
atmosphere and also by the quiet. Although I was young I didn't want to choose
someplace that there would be a lot of partying like Daytona. Actually there were
more middle aged people who had made their mark in life where they could stay
on this very posh island. Marco is part residential for people who live there all
year round and the other is Golf Courses, Elite shoppes and Grand Hotels. I
completely fell head over hills with the Eagle Nest Resort which we bought into and had for almost 10 years. This became our paradise away from home. Marco
also has tiny beaches to explore. I have to laugh because everyone who owns
a house on this island has their own built in swimming pool.
