I took my dog to mans best friend hoping to see some real results. Although I knew not to set my expectations too high, I told them I only had two main goals....to have her walk ...

Fantastic Training! 9/30/2010

We would like to thank you for the fantastic training you have given Alpha, our 26 month old Doberman Pinscher. You have made us and Alpha happy and brought us the true meaning of “Man’s Best Friend.” Keep up the good work. more

We love our dog more now that he's trained! 9/1/2010

When Jester came Man's Best Friend, she wasn't responding to commands from me at all. They taught us proper techniques on giving commands and now we have much happier relationship with our dog because we understand each other more now! Man's best friend did great job! more

Thank you MBF for the miracle! 8/5/2010

Pee Wee was a reel challenge! Trey carries her all the time and she had absolutely no skills except eating, looking adorable, and being loved. Before training Pee Wee’s bottom NEVER touched the floor. We never saw her in a sit position! When we got her back after Deidre had her for two weeks, it was amazing how she compiled so happily. She looks even more precious in a sit, and she doesn’t mind heeling, coming, or staying either! Pee Wee had her own stubborn ideas before training, and we thought she’d never change. What a wonderful surprise! Thank you Deidre, for the miracle! more

Achieved positive results from this program 7/27/2010

I would like to take this opportunity to express my appreciation for the excellent job you’ve done training Bandit, my Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Bandit was brought home when she was eight weeks old. From the start, Bandit was curious, energetic, and “all puppy”. She was not the complacent, humble puppy seeking the owner’s approval. Quite the contrary, Bandit was wild and very independent. As the weeks and months went by, I worked with Bandit, trying to find ways to communicate with her. The methods I knew from training a corgi in the past didn’t work with Bandit. As my frustration increased, I began consulting friends and colleagues and other dog lovers in search of something that would work. Bandit turned 5 months old, and I sadly came to the realization that I just couldn’t get through to this strong-willed dog. Though I was extremely attached to Bandit, I contemplated giving her to someone who had more time and skills to devote to her development. I was extremely heartbroken. Finally, I found Man’s Best Friend. When I came to the facility to inquire about the program, I was welcomed with friendly people, confident that I would see a significant improvement in Bandit’s demeanor in just to weeks. When I asked how this was going to be achieved, I was told that training is based on consistency, repetition, and lots of positive reinforcement. To say the least, I was extremely skeptical, but enrolling Bandit in the program was my last hope of keeping her. After two weeks went by, I went to pick up Bandit and observed how she was taught to heel and sit. I could not believe that this was the same wild dog I’d dropped off two weeks prior! I was stunned to watch how well the trainer communicated with my dog. Since then, I’ve been attending follow up training classes with Bandit. They are doing excellent in training me and Bandit to communicate with each other. I look forward to the classes each week. I truly believe that the outcome of any learning experience is largely based on the quality of the teacher. It very clearly shows that MBF has the patience, dedication, and passion for the work you do. I really enjoy their style; they are calm, patient, and friendly, yet very focused on the points of instruction they want to make. Man’s Best Friend is a pleasure to learn from – no wonder Bandit changed her ways!! Thanks to entire staff. I know you all work together to achieve positive results. From what I have experienced, your program works! Both myself and Bandit are now proud lifetime members of Man’s Best Friend. I recommend this training center to all dog owners! Pros: communicates well, displays patience and understanding Cons: timely more

they did wonders for my jack russell 7/20/2010

We just want to “Thank You” for training our dog “Grumpy”. We especially want to thank our trainer Rachel who’s been training Grumpy with lots of love. Grumpy is a Jack Russell Terrier, so he has a very strong drive. He used to go out of control very often. But now, he knows how to listen to what we say, so he’s been behaving very good. He’s such a sweet dog who is fun and well-trained. People around us are impressed how much his behavior became better. Thank you so much, Ai and Jose Rodriguez And Grumpy Pros: very loving, strong drive more

Way too expensive and over-rated! 8/14/2008

I took my dog to mans best friend hoping to see some real results. Although I knew not to set my expectations too high, I told them I only had two main goals....to have her walk on a leash and to not bolt out doors. Well...basically they taught her to sit, stay, and somewhat heal. Her walking improved a tad, mainly because they threw a huge choker collar on her...so hey who wouldn't walk better then? Without it she's still just as bad. And as for bolting....THATS A JOKE! I feel like I've done a better job myself then they did at all. I guess I am just really dissappointed given i payed OVER $800 just for the lessons....plus almost $150 for extra attention...PLUS extra $$$ because my very healthy dog got sick even though she had already had her kennel cough shot (she still has yet to completely get over it). I honestly now wish I had just taken her elsewhere that would not have cost me an arm and a leg plus a pocket full of sales pressure. Pros: nice people Cons: don't take no for an answer easily, not impressed with results more
