I moved from an elevator buildinding in Manhattan to a three story walk up also in Manhattan. The guys were fast and efficient in moving all my boxes and furniture. They definitely know what they're doing. When they drove to my new apartment they could not get a parking spot near the entrance and had to park far down the strert. But they know what to do - they moved a portion of my stuff from the truck to the small lobby. Once the lobby was filled they moved my stuff from the lobby up 3 flights of stairs to the apartment. They repeated this process until the move was finished. All my furniture and the boxes they packed arrived with no damage. more

The customer service at Manor is hands down excellent. After a very stressful week of trying to coordinate a move-in date, confirm a leasing agreement, and remove storage from the Manor warehouse-- all at the busiest time of the month--the company was there and supportive every step of the way! Our 3 movers were very fast and efficient with their packing (I was particularly impressed with their rapid taping skills wow! haha) and very friendly to work with. They took good care of our boxes and wrapped every piece of furniture carefully in blankets. Moving is such a headache and I was glad we had such skilled workers helping us out. They clearly had the process down and were great at disassembling/assembling our Ikea furniture =). We were notified about all the fees and everything upfront and so weren't surprised by an excess of fees on moving day. They genuinely seemed to care about doing a good job and even refused our offers to buy them lunch, and insisted on continuing to work through lunchtime, such dedication! I would recommend them for sure =). more

The service of Manor Moving is beyond awful. They don't even deserve a one star and in fact, I wish I could give them negative stars. They showed up late and showed up in a rented truck after they assured me that they only use their own trucks as well as the movers. Only their foreman had a company issued sweatshirt and the other two guys had no idea about anything but to push dollies. Of course, the estimate was WAY off and our china cabinet is destroyed. We ended up paying almost twice as much for our move. \r THEY ARE THE WORST. more

They broke my shelving new LCD TV & dented our wine fridge. They showed me their 10 page scamming contract. Two movers show up 2 hours late for pick up. I would highly recommend that anyone searching for a moving company stay away Manor. \r The customer service was horrible. They are a bunch of cheats and scammers. more

Having had to coordinate, from overseas, the ins and outs of moving a one-bedroom into their storage facilities (and moving back into a UHALL a year later), I can testify that the process could not have been easier or more trust-inspiring. Throughout the year my stuff was safely and cleanly stored with them--and a gigantic safe of sorts their facility is in the Bronx--MANOR office staff would work with me over email, for example, to allow my fiance to access the unit, for my brother to add forgotten boxes, and to change my stolen credit-card information. Whether for a few months or a few years, MONOR should be your moving & storage choice in New York City. Their moving staff, too, is incredibly efficient, timely, careful, responsible, and very very kind. They were in and out of my apartment in half an hour: we even had fun! I recently hired Manor Moving to move me from the UES to the West Village. They made the day so much less stressful. The owner personally came to my apartment to make the estimate. The day of my move, the men who came to move me were so wonderful. They were polite and courteous and were extremely careful with all of my belongings. The move was quick and painless, and the best part was that it didn't cost more than the estimate I was given. Cesare and his team were on time, neat, and very professional. They were upfront about everything that a move entails, and delivered 100% what they informed us it would be. They were courteous and friendly and what ever we asked them to do they did without issue. They gave us the estimate upfront and then calculated the cost as time moved on. They packed everything neatly and were very careful with our flat screen TV and other electronics. They packed our Art carefully. When they unloaded the truck at our home they were equally careful placing everything where we told them to. I would highly recommend this crew. In fact as soon as our new apt is renovated we will have them return to our house and move everything back into NYC. Pros: What they promised they delivered more

Moving is terrible, moving in New York is a nightmare. Manor Moving made the whole process virtually flawless. I called multiple moving companies before I called Manor, some took all day to get back to me with quotes, others would quote astronomical prices and others gave me ""approximate quotes"". Manor was great, I spoke to Eugene, who gave me the lowest price I've been quoted all week. He promised me a flat rate with no hidden charges and professional service and he delivered! The movers were pleasant and polite, they moved everything with great care and expertise. I would recommend Manor to anyone who is moving and wants to keep their sanity in the process. more

I have had many moves over the years and Manor Moving is by far the best company I have ever dealt with. They arrive on time, they are efficient, they know what they are doing and nothing got damaged at all! Three men headed up by ""Pat"" showed up on time. They treated our furniture like it was their own. They worked fast but were careful. I would use them again in a heart beat. Pros: Crew showed up on time. Worked fast, carefully. Cons: None! more

The owner is Zvi; the amount of personal attention he afforded me is what won me over. I had read similar reviews on-line and in fact they are true! Zvi stated that he understood today's consumer has many choices yet he wanted MY business. I had a piddly move from Alexandria VA to the West Village but that did not deter Zvi. Zvi did not pressure me rather he offered sensibility in our negotiations (his movers being careful + thorough). He built my trust. The two movers departed NYC at 4:30ish a.m. for VA and arrived 10 min early at 9:50 a.m. Sabi and Courtney met me at my storage unit and proceeded with exceptional care. I was so relieved that they were thinking adults; they asked me questions and proceeded to work without delay (or breaks). I jumped on the regional train and met them back in NYC. They arrived 10 minutes early (again!) - how they managed a five hour commute and were ON-TIME is exceptional (they thwarted a major freeway accident which I confirmed on-line). Sabi and Courtney carried my most precious items up three flights of stairs and together we managed 'watching' the moving truck to prevent illicit NYC fees (i.e., I was responsible for any parking tickets). I admire their tenacity and truly - not being cheesy here - their work ethic. They were hounds. Amazing. I tipped my two rockstars 20% because they deserved it. It is the second time we used Manor moving. We had a great relaxing experience in both moves. Zvi Manor is wonderful. Zvi reassured us about our move and provided excellent costumer service and answered all our questions and concerns. Zvi worked with us in our budget and gave us a fixed price for our entire move that we were comfortable with and we had no surprises or hidden charges. Manor's moving team came on time they were courteous and professional in moving our boxes and large heavy furniture.
