This place is godawful. I took a class with these idiots last semester, when they were still called ""Manhattan Review."" The teachers are barely competent. Their books are ter...

Personal Attention & Great Instructors / Consultants 1/10/2010

I used both of their TOEFL and GMAT private tutors. I originally came from Russia. All the people I have met at Manhattan Review were super nice! They really helped me gain my confidence in acing those two tests one by one. I did score well in the end too. Since then I have recommended them to two of my friends! Sometimes they get really busy and may have a hard time scheduling you. But as long as you work things out with them, it is worth the wait and the money. Go to their info sessions..the guy running it is really great! Knowledgeable and no air of arrogance. Pros: Execellent Private Tutors Cons: Payment System more

terrible service!!!! 11/13/2009

I wouldn't put even one star! I signed up for one type of classes , they offered me another for the same price because they couldn't provide what they write . I agreed , because i had GMAT coming up soon. online classes , well most of them didn't happen because the tutor didn't have internet , or was struggling to get into NY cafe to get some internet for classes. :O imagine noise we heard instead of her voice.!!! Things like that happened not just once. Guess what. Tutor is scam , he tried to contact me via voice messages , so later on they wouldn't refund me what i payed them . Now I try to get my money back , so far no luck . Not professional ! Please pass the msg to everyone !!! You will loose your money , and no use! more

Manhattan Review is Terrible 6/10/2009

Beware of scam that passes for Manhattan Review. This company cancels classes right left and center, and provides terrible lesson booklets and uses horrible instructors who have no idea what gmat is about. The chinese guy I had could not communicate in English and was pathetic. Do not be cheated. Stay away from manhattan review gmat prep. Pros: nothing Cons: lousy books, terrible instructors, worst service more

Great place to prepare 1/25/2008

If you need to take the GMAT and need a good place to help you prepare for the test, then I would call them because they have great teachers who really work with you one on one and help you get over the fear of test taking. more

THE place to prepare for the GMAT 2/27/2007

I really don't know why anyone would go anywhere else. This test prep place has it all. Smaller classes, fun and enthusiastic and totally knowledgeable instructors, and a boutique-style setting that caters to the student. It's definitely not a place that just tries to get as many students as possible. As a student you feel like they attend to you as much as you need them to. You can study individually in their study room without anyone bothering you, you can make up classes you miss, they basically just want you to do well. I give them an A+ and because of their help I got a great score on the GMAT. 710 baby!!! more

Helped me get into Chicago GSB! 2/27/2007

This is an awesome company. I took a 6-week course that really helped me get the score I needed to go to my dream school, which if you couldn't tell, was Chicago. The environment's really nice, and easy to get to because it's right by Grand Central, and the atmosphere was really good. I had a class of about 8 or 9 people which was great because then we all got the individual attention that we needed. The instructors were amazing, and there was one for math and one for verbal so that each person was definitely an expert in the area they were teaching. I really like the math instructor who was very personable and engaging. The one person from the class I kept in touch with got a 760, which I think is amazing, though I didn't do too shabby myself (740). The cost is pretty normal for all GMAT courses in NYC but I definitely think it was worth it esepecially since I think my GMAT was an integral part of why I got in Chicago. Pros: Great instructors, really know their stuff. Cons: Building security is tight, so get there a little early each time. more
