Un-Christian like behavior 10/3/2009

I called and asked if they carried LDS scriptures. I was told that they do not because they are a cult. The guy could've said, ""I'm sorry, we do not"" and left it at that. No, instead he went on to insult me. Mormons ARE Christians!! I found the customer service to be EXTREMELY distasteful. I will never refer a friend there, however, I will make sure that my experience is well known. Cons: rude and insulting comments by the employees more

Best selection and service in town. 11/11/2007

I have been shopping at the Manger since 1983 and have always been able to find the perfect gift, I have ordered from this store and I cant beleive how fast they actually get the books I buy, I always receive them in a couple of days. I just want to say thank you to Bryan for doing such a great job and keeping such wonderful helpful employees in the store. I am so thankful we have such a wonderful store here localy and dont have to go to Reno to shop. Thank You! more

I've always loved this store 9/19/2007

I worked for Bryan for a little over 3 years and I treasure the experience of getting to know all of the wonderful people in the community. I'm glad to continue my support of the store! more

They were too busy 6/8/2007

I had located some books on Amazon for my son. I thought I would go to a local store rather than buy online. When I walked into The Manager, there were 2 other customers in the store. I found a (female) sales associate sitting at a counter on a stool. I asked her if she could help me. NOTE: She did NOT approach me! When I asked her if they had the book I was looking for , she asked who the author is. when I told her I didn't know, she said she couldn't help me. Maybe the girl at the counter can help me when she's finished with her customers. Alrighty then...\r So I went to front counter and a very nice girl helped me. She informed me that they did not have the titles I wanted. She said they could order it and I would have it in two weeks.\r Now, my question to you, owners of The Manager, Why in the world would I want to PAY MORE, WAIT LONGER and be TREATED BADLY just so I can support local business?\r These stores are going to have to learn that we consumers have other options now.\r BTW, I ordered from Amazon and had the books on my front door less than 1 day after I ordered. Cons: Very poor customer service more
