After a while, all Vegas hotels start to look the same, but what sets Mandalay Bay apart is the Beach. This swimming pool adventure park...

This was my first trip to Vegas. Besides long lines to check in, the mgr is very polite (be prepared to ask for the manager often). Room walls are thin (so you can hear exactly w...

Bartender was VERY rude!!! 7/28/2005

Dont sit at the bar! The bartender is VERY rude and arrogant. Dont let them give you drinks to ""try"" either, you will be charged an arm and a leg for something you did not even ask for to begin with! more

Mongolian Beef Finally 4/5/2005

3/10/2007 Ordered the Potstickers and Mongolian Beef again. The Potstickers are good and are cooked properly, but they are not plump like the ones in San Francisco. The beef, $26, was great as always except that my wife's order had some thick pieces where the meat was raw. This upset her appetite and is just not acceptable in a place of this caliber. It may be a sign of the beginnings of decline.\r \r 4/5/2005 I have eaten at many chinese places in search of a mongolian beef that is as good as Yangtze in Berkeley. It has been at 15 years. They either do not have the flavor right or the beef is not tender enough. I will have to say that the Lilly has got it right. It maybe twice as much as others, but it is worth the price because it is right on. The prawns were huge, but not very tasty. The Lilly does not believe in putting a lot of sauce on the plate. They gave us wonderful candied walnuts as an appetizer. The attention to detail by the wait staff is excellent. The one thing that really bothered me was the fact that they charged for steamed rice. At the prices they are charging a real classy place does not nickel and dime the customers. Pros: Mongolian beef, waiters, atmosphere Cons: Tasteless prawns, little sauce, petty with rice, raw pieces of meat more

Over priced 3/24/2005

For the price of the room I expected more. My room looked like it was used as a breakroom with trash in the trash can. The bed looked like some one had just gotten out of it. I let management know and they made it seem like it was my fault for having a dirty room. The only positive was the luck I had at the black jack tables. If you stay here make sure you confirm your reservation with a live person. Pros: Value, Service more

What where they thinking 3/12/2005

In a town full of seafood restaurants where value is accomplished by quality of food, service, and atmosphere R Bar café and RM Seafood lacks the bait to set the hook. Although the quality of seafood is good it is poorly executed. On multiple visits side dishes detracted from the main seafood course with raw risotto, gummy chive mash potatoes, and overly salty mushrooms on the sea bass plate. Desserts were unenthusiastically boring, bland, and below average. Overall Rick Moonen deserves a C average for is average restaurant in a sea of celebrity chefs. Pros: Qualty Seafood Cons: Side Dishes, Price, Dessert more

Wow! 1/29/2005

I have been to a lot of Vegas' top notch restaurants and Fleur de lys is one of my few favorites now. Food is excellent. Presentation is like art. Interior design was wow. They had these roses on the wall thousands of them..incredible. They run by courses, like 3,4 or 5...and their prices are pretty decent. 3 course meal was I think $60 so that was pretty good. I'd advise you try the Froi Gras Tourchon and Untraditional Steak Tartar for app, Swordfish and Braised Beef Ribs for main, and for dessert they got some really interesting items...I went for the chocolate symphoy and my friend went for the souffle - which was excellent. Overall one of the best in Vegas! Pros: food, service, price Cons: some tables too tight, small portion 4,5 cr more

Service Not Great 12/9/2004

For the prices as they are here, the service should be top-notch and it is not there yet. Our server was not that busy - she just did not make enough appearances at the table. We ran out of drinks and waited 10 minutes before she checked back, then it took another 10 minutes to get more! The food was good, but still overpriced in our opinion. As mentioned before, tables are tight, taking away from the entire ambiance. Needs work but has lots of potential. Pros: food quality, great menu Cons: , price too high more

Mrs. Janet Heath 11/20/2004

Chef/owner Hubert Keller's presentation of every course is oustanding. Flavor is in abundance, he has it prefected. A fantastic wine selection also. My husband , I and daughter savored every bite. A must experience. more

Favorite bar in Vegas! Great drinks, atmosphere, not to mention the gentleman who put it on are very accommodating and very hot, they were entertainment enough! Always know I will have a great time, everyone should check it out!! more

Great Service 9/30/2004

Even though the restaurant was operating at capacity we were treated as though we were the only one's there. Our reservation was at 8:30 and we arrived about 5 minutes early. I anticipated waiting at the bar for a drink but we were seated almost immediatly. The decor and ambiance were near perfect, and with comfortable spacing between the tables, we were able to experience the weekend buzz without the crowd on top of us. Friendly advice from the waitress, and a great meal to follow. Many old ""favourites"" with many unique dishes to select from. A must do while in Vegas. Pros: Service, ambiance more

loved it...... 5/11/2004

great rooms, loved it, beautiful bathroom, the cafe was TREMENDOUS for breakfast. Really recommend it. The only negative is the schlep through the casino to the pool. But the hotel is such a ""civilized"" break from the craziness of Vegas - room is HUGE, loved it - would highly recommend it!! Pros: room, products, bathroom more

Loved the nightlife & the pool 4/22/2004

The nightlife was great and so was the pool. It's also an excellent place to get in a bet on a sporting event. Overall, the hotel is made for pleasure, and I had a really fun weekend there. The only complaint I have is the staff, and especially the waitresses. I expect a little banter, or at least a smile on occasion when you're tipping well and spending money, but the attitude was stoic at best and outright rude at worst. The exception for me was the pool staff. Pros: nightlife, pool, casino Cons: , waitresses more
