This is a romantic, fairly priced restaurant. The service was friendly, but the food took way too long to arrive. This can only be seen as the fault of the kitchen and not the servers. Our drinks, salads, and appetizer came out in a timely fashion. The entree took forever. I recommend this restaurant only if you have plenty of time. I am a tough critic of Italian food since thats what I was raised on. I have to say though that the food here was EXCELLENT (I ordered the four cheese ravioli). My boyfriend and I loved the idea of bringing our own bottle of wine too. The only complaint we had was the lack of service. We didn't mind waiting for our food (once we actually got a seat), but the wait staff had over 5 couples standing in the crowded entrance while several tables were open. We didn't get a seat for over 40 minutes despite the available seating in the restaurant. We also couldn't get the waiter to come and take our order for over 30 minutes. It didn't make any sense. The fact that this restaurant has never bothered to get a license to sell alcohol is a major detraction. Having to remember to go to a package store before you go to the restaurant is a big inconvenience. The food is terrific but the service, due to a lack of sufficient personnel, is very slow. I am a long time customer of Mama Mia's and they have recently expanded their menu to include more appetizers, desserts, and many of their specials to the regular menu. This makes going there even better! Some of my favorites are the Lobster Ravioli, the crab-stuffed Portobello mushroom appetizer, Veal Marsala and their fabulous Caramel Flan for dessert! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and keep in mind that for this quality of food, all made from scratch, it is worth the wait. more

I love mama mias! there food is simply divine! people have complained about the food taking a long time, but what they don't realize is that small resturaunt equals small staff. they are working not on just your meals but everyone elses too. and it is well worth the wait! these are five star meals! so just remember that if it is not as quick as you want it to be then go to some other chain resturaunt where the price is the same. but your not paying for quality of the food, your paying someone's salary.
