i have been to mama margies several times and as everyone knows they have free chips which are amazing. but last night i had the worst customer service experience of my life. i ordered a beef enchilada plate and my friend ordered some tacos and a large chips and queso. well as we waited for the queso to be made we wanted some chips but there were none in the usual bin.well i took it upon myself to get the chips and asked the gentleman behind the line if we could have some chips. he said yes and went to get some. he came back holding a large plate of chips and when he tried to give them to me a female co worker said i couldnt have them unless i had a ticket. i told her it was at the table and and i would get it. when i came back and asked for the chips she said that they didnt have any when i could still see the plate in front of her. i showed her the ticket i just went to get and she still said i couldnt have any. then my friend joel went to ask about chips after i gave up on them. after a ten minute discussion with an employee we finally got some chips, but asked to talk to a manager about the girl who denied any service. the manager then came up with a cop and a condescending attitude telling us that it was ok for her employees to do that because we were cussing at them, which noone did. then she told us we needed to calm down like we were a bunch of drunks or something.further more id like to add that every single person i was there with (7 in all) all work in the service industry at fine dining establishments and all agree that this was a nightmare over something as simple as chips and queso in san antonio. i dont think your average experience there would be as brutal but for your own sake dont ask these people for anything that takes any extra effort\r
