Mama Ayesha's is a tucked away Middle Eastern delight. The restaurant has been at this location since 1960 and was run by ""Mama Ayesha,"" who made home-cooked middle eastern dishes in the district for decades. From the outside, you wouldn't suspect how gorgeous the interior is, but once inside you cannot help but be taken aback by the grand feel of its decor and the warmth of its ambiance. Guys, this is a great date place! Pros: delicious food, gorgeous ambiance, beautiful history more

Delicious 1/24/2010

The food is delicious, and there is a large variety, so vegetarians, carnivores, adventurous eaters, and those who prefer plain can share a meal. The space is beautiful - quite the contrast from its pre-renovation days when it looked like a diner. The service is friendly and efficient. A good space for a nice dinner. more
