This place is just 3 miles from downtown Portland - you can see the downtown skyline from some trails - but it feels like a world away, with old farm fields, salt marshes, and trails. A Nature Center hosts public programs and educational exhibits, including a special "discovery room" for kids. more

Gift shop,museum and trails all free!!! 8/17/2005

This is a great place to bring the kids.It's free to walk the well marked trails and maybe have a picnic.When you are finished you can visit the shop where you will find many educatioanl items and fun stuff.Down the hall is a small educational display for kids of all ages.The trails are located right next to teh ocean so it's cool even on hot summer days. more
