Pleasant Independant Theater 8/16/2005

I really like this little theatre. They offer interesting movies instead of all those big, dumb Hollywood ones. I like the fact I can see something different. I also found it to be in a very nice part of town with good restaurants and plenty of free parking. Don't hesitate to go there to see something a little off the beaten path. more

A unique theater experience 8/11/2005

Something different from your typical 'mega-plex' experience. The Magnolia is located in trendy Uptown (many unique shops and restaurants) and is reflective of this. The Magnolia plays many unique independent films (not entirely but mostly). My girlfriend and I saw 'March of the Penguins' there recently. They only have a few screens and despite being sort of upscale they were reasonably priced. The movie theater featured your standard concessions as well as a bar. The seats were comfortable and the movie was shown well. more

A good movie theater in good area! 8/5/2005

Magnolia Theater is located in the West Village, which is close to downtown Dallas. The theater is different from other movie theaters, for it doesn't show the usual movies you could see in ordinary theaters. It shows many art movies or foreign movies. The theater has valet parking provided. It also has a bar attached to it. more

Nice Spot to watch Independent Films 8/1/2005

The Magnolia is a nice theater. It's fairly new, so it's a clean theater. It's not a megaplex, and the theaters are smaller than the big chain theaters, however, they still have stadium seating. My only complaint is that the theater is in the West Village, which is always really crowded. There is a parking garage, but I always end up parking at the top of the garage. more
