I went to M.Y. Salon for a hair cut, highlights, and blow dry, and I couldn't be happier! Maria and Yolanda made sure I was satisfied with the fantastic work and I just loved the atmosphere. I haven't gone to a salon in years - I make my barber niece cut (and sometimes highlight) my hair - but with a gift certificate went in today - \r What a fantastic experience - \r Gorgeous surroundings, and the people working there could not have been kinder, warmer or friendlier - a lot of times, going to a salon, especially an unfamiliar one can be an uncomfortable or intimidating experience - and that could not be possible here - they are the loveliest women - \r To the results - I now have a fantastic cut, beautiful highlights, and am going to go back for a keratin treatment - the only downside is, I forgot to talk with the stylist I had today about how to transition from highlights to full color, or if that will be right for me - but I am sure I will be able to figure that out with her next time I go - \r So happy ( and my niece will be too) that I found M.y. Salon - you will LOVE it - it really was the best salon experience ever! more

I absolutely LOVED this place. The service was amazing and I've never loved my hair more. I loved everything about the experience start to finish. Everyone was super friendly and my hair (I don't mean to toot my own horn) looks amazing! I can't wait to go back. If you couldn't notice I can't stop using the word ""love"" when describing this salon. As cheesy as it sounds it was honestly an awesome day and I enjoyed getting my hair done for the first time ever. more

I went to M.Y. Salon for a cut and color and left incredibly happy. I was worried going in - I don't normally get highlights and wanted to add bangs to my haircut - but immediately was put at ease. The extensive experience of the sisters who own the salon was clear - a few words about the look I wanted and they knew exactly what to do.\r \r I knew I wanted very natural highlights and the minute I said that to Yolanda, she selected the perfect colour and highlighted only small pieces to make sure it would come out looking natural - the results were exactly what I hoped for. \r \r With the bangs as well, I showed a photo of what I wanted and, again, Yolanda took one look and knew exactly what I wanted and how to make it work with my face and the texture and style of my hair. \r \r I can't recommend M.Y. Salon highly enough - I wont be going anywhere else in the future. more

M.Y. Salon is the only place for me, about two years ago i walked into gbm to get some parts and turns out they have a salon next door to a motorcycle shop(weird/ but convenient). It is the only place ill get a hair cut done since Maria gives the perfect fade and listens to what I would like it to look like ( does an extremely excellent job). Best haircuts. Ever. \r \r I've been getting my hair styled and cut by Maria at M.Y. Salon for a few years now. Prior to that, I used the Dellaria salons in Lexington and Burlington for about 38 years. With all the Dellaria haircuts, no matter who cut my hair, I always had to use styling products, dryer and brush, curling irons and/or hairspray to get my hair to hold the style through the day. With Maria's haircuts, my hair just falls into place with practically no effort on my part and stays in the style all day long, looking GREAT, even in wind or humidity. I don't know how Maria does it, but the results are exceptional and exactly what I want. I wish I had started going to Maria long ago - I could have saved a small fortune in hair products over the years!\r \r I have sent 2 other family members to Maria. These relatives have very different hair types and style preferences. Nevertheless, they both also have had outstanding experiences with Maria, and are converts to M.Y. Salon. \r \r As a plus, for my last haircut, Maria was not available in the time period I needed a cut, so I had another M.Y. stylist, Jennifer, cut my hair. Wow - this style/cut also has been superb. You just can't get a bad style/cut at M.Y.\r \r My Bottom Line: If you live anywhere close to Arlington, go to M.Y. Salon. It's worth the ride. You won't be disappointed. more

Marie and Yolanda are amazing stylists! I was afraid of keratin treatments, but Marie talked to me about all the options and helped me pick a formula that fits my needs. She answered all my questions and took care of my hair. It turned out better than I thought it would. I was so happy with the outcome, that I gave Marie a hug. I never looked so pretty! more

Wonderful Stylists! I've gone to M.Y. Salon a couple of times so far. Yolanda cut, colored and styled my hair on both occasions and I've been completely satisfied. She and her sister Maria are very personable and accommodating...no rushing the customer, no high sales pressure tactics and no prima donna attitudes. They go the extra mile for their customers. The two sisters are also very much in synch with one another. If Yolanda needs to step away for a minute to assist another customer, her sister Maria (with only a few words of instruction exchanged) steps in and takes over until Yolanda gets back - seamlessly. I will be going back. more

M.Y. Salon is hands down the best salon I have ever been to. I will never go anywhere else to get my hair done except here. The staff is as talented as they are kind and caring, which makes the overall experience always pleasant. I have never left the salon feeling like they didn't do what I wanted nor have I ever left feeling disappointed. I have tried many different hairstyles and have experimented quite a bit with highlights and colors and they have always come out fantastic. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone I know. I have been getting my hair cut at this salon for a few years now, and not once have I had less than a PERFECT cut. Seriously. And my hair is difficult to cut, in the sense that it is board straight, so any unevenness is immediately apparent. The ambiance is wonderful, the salon is clean, the owners-Yolanda and Maria--are wonderful, caring people, and highly talented and professional. Pros: null Cons: null more

HI! Maria at MY Salon does the hair of kids with autism, aspergers, sensory issues and other special needs and does a great job! She is absolutely wonderful and very caring and kind, and the kids are very comfortable with her. Many of them have a very hard time with haircuts and she makes the experience okay, or even good, for them. Please check her out if you have a child with special needs or who hates haircuts, she will do a terrific job and you will never want to go anywhere else! She has been doing hair for these kids for over 15 years and is just second-to-none for providing hair care for these kids who need special attention! more
