My husband and I went to Dentist Michael D. Karr for a filling as I was having pain in one of my teeth. We provided them with all our insurance information. They called our insurance and checked with them. Everything was fine. They went ahead and started taking X-rays. Suddenly I felt odd as I realized that they are doing X-rays, way more than I needed. So we stopped them from doing further X-rays as it did not seem right to us. Then Dr. Karr came in and did some evaluation of mouth for a minute or two and asked me to get my teeth cleaned in the next visit, which I was not expecting at that time, as I was having a pain in my tooth. Therefore, feeling very unsatisfied, we went home and tried to find another dentist near our area. Unfortunately, there is only one dentist serving our small town. Then we went to another dentist. We also showed the second dentist the x-rays taken by Dr. Karr, and we were told by second dentist that those x-rays were no good to him to work on my tooth. Dr. Karr was not able to file the claim to our insurance for 6 months because of computer glitch at their end. They did not get paid for their procedure by our insurance because the other dentist to whom we went to after 20 days, had already charged our insurance for the same procedure which is allowed only twice a year. Now Dr. Karr sent the bill to us - expecting us to pay without doing any good to us and rather wasting our time and giving un-necessary x-ray exposure and not his own fault of not billing our insurance in time. We called the office of Dr. Karr and the office people told us that they were not able to file the bill in time because of computer problem at their end. After a few days we called them again, and they admitted their fault and told us that they will waive off that amount pending on our bill. Then we did not hear from them. But, again after six months, they sent us the same bill through collection agency to force us to pay the bill, which we never expected and we don't owe by any means. Now, because of their mistak more
