MCM Jobe's Repair, Inc.

I have never written any kind of review before, but these folks are so fantastic, I felt I needed to write up some kudos. They are very HONEST and reasonably priced (as far as auto repair/work pricing goes), which is rare in an auto shop! When I moved to Napa two years ago, I had no idea where to go, and took a chance on MCM Jobes because they sent us a courtesy lube and oil change coupon, and followed it up with a thank you note. This was such an "old school and good business practice," that I was sold on them, and have never tried another mechanic since. It's clear that they actually care about the quality of work they do, and we do not have fancy or brand new cars. When I purchased my latest car i decided it was time to find a new place to get it serviced and maintained. MCM Jobe's has been everything i could have hoped for. I've always had problems with other repair shops, and going to the dealer just got too expensive. This shop is straightforward, they will take a look at your car and tell you what problems they've discovered and how much it will cost to fix....and then they'll go over what is most important to take care of first which is very helpful when you're on a budget. Some places try to suck every dime out of you and you never really know if it's even worth it, but at MCM Jobe's i can trust that they are taking my best interests at heart, i haven't had any major problems recently, but i come in for my regular maintenance which is always taken care of quickly. They're great about giving rides and explaining what's going on in ways you can understand. more

In my 30 years experience with MCM Jobes, the employees are always friendly and ready to help. Their skills are excellent! Their service reflects their motto, "If you're happy tell someone, if you're not tell us." They take care of my needs to fit my schedule. They take pride in their work and it shows. The owner is willing to take the time to explain what's needed. I have my truck serviced regularly, and before trips. I won't take my car anywhere else! I have been going to MCM Jobes for 21 years, getting all of my preventive maintainence , smogs, and repairs. I have been very satisfied and feel great knowing that I have automotive technicians that I respect and trust. I especially appreciate them taking the time to thoroughly explain things to me. Wow... I've never written a review before, but felt compelled after reading such a negative one... I've had the exact opposite experience at MCM Jobe's. I have a company car, so fortunately I don't have to bear the cost of repairs or service. The guys at Jobe's know that, and yet have repeatedly (on at least 3 occasions I can think of) passed up easy opportunities to make repairs that weren't (or aren't) necessary yet. I've practically asked them to find as much wrong with it as they can. Nothing... "Nope, your brakes are good and don't need to be replaced yet." "We could fix the motor on the back window but the part is pretty expensive..." They've never tried to upsell me on anything, and never come across as condescending. I'm sorry the other reviewer had such a bad experience there. I know that feeling, but not from MCM Jobe's. (I could go on for an hour about why I'd never take a car to Jensen motors! Argh!!!) Anyhow, I've referred them to friends, who've also had nothing but positive experiences. I've been going to them for 4 or 5 years now, and plan to continue. I trust them, and highly recommend them. more
