So, I have had 2 horrible experiences with this "great" institution: my kitten was hit by a car, his back femur was broken in half [the only injury he sustained], they wanted $3,000 up front for his surgery and any of the prep work they had already started, we declined and took him to another vet. Just today, we took our dog to the vet, she has an infected and enlarged uterus which needed removed immediately. They sent us to PVSEC, with a loan from Credit Care while confidently telling us the surgery and at least 3 nights of care would be covered. Now, they are harassing me at work with these out of the blue prices, stating it will be another $1200 for her to stay tonight, the new total is now over $4,000. They know we are not financially able to pay this, all we want is for our baby to have her surgery and get another few years of life. They've done the surgery, but now they're telling us there's more tests, more expenses, more money that we do not have, and they are arguing vehemently that we should not take the dog home, but we can't afford the overnight care. The veterinarian is fantastic, but the financial staff are rude, emotionless, greedy con artists. The vet doesn't even know where these new costs are appearing from, but unfortunately, we can't afford to be blindsided by bills and have to take her home. Also, beware of them giving misinformation on the paperwork you sign. The office pushers only care about money, so unless you have it, I highly recommend staying as far away from this facility as possible. They prey on your emotions as well as your wallets.
