Lucky Nail

I do agree with the other reviewer that the prices were great, but now I understand the reason behind this. The technicians were very nice, however my manicure, pedicure and eyebrow wax were terrible. On both my fingers and toes she put way too much polish, causing it to gather at the sides of my nails and "stay wet" and tacky. Though my feet survived, even after sitting under the dryer and UV light for quite some time, as soon as I walked out and touched something, they immediately dented and got smeared. It was unfixable and so bad that as soon as I got home I took off the polish and re-did it myself. The eyebrow wax was not terrible, but definitely not the best I've had. She missed quite a few hairs and they don't look completely even. On top of the poor services, the shop itself seemed very under-cared for and down right filthy in some places. Ladies beware, the prices are low for a reason! more

I don't know what the other poster is talking about the price at Lucky Nails is comparable with other shops in the city. $20 full set $15 for a fill pedicure $20 designs are extra french or American or tropical manicures 5 extra...what is the difference it costs more in the burbs and the work isn't half as good as Lucky's the staff is also very nice and the owner is on site and doesn't tolerate shoddy work if she spots anything not up to her standards she corrects it right away. the staff is really nice and they put up with a lot being the best in town and right in the middle of the inner city I love them more

i got my nails done here for a special occassion. they turned out wonderful, but the price was very high. i'd only go here if my nails HAVE TO look good, if its a very important event. otherwise i couldn't afford to go here just for everyday nails. they really do beautiful work, and i guess thats why it costs a little more than most places. more
