Luby’s Chinese restaurant is a local business located in Fresno, CA providing both good food and comedy. The comedy is not conventional and has to be sought out by the customer. Let’s begin with the food. The dishes at Luby’s can be eaten at the restaurant or by take out. There are only five tables at the restaurant, so it’s probably better to take-out. Although, I have never been at Luby’s with all tables full. The food is prepared fast and is quite appetizing. The flavors are wonderfully composed. The dishes are similar to any other Chinese restaurant. Most dishes come served over steam rice or noodles. Luby is the owner of the restaurant and also acts as the restaurants full time host.
The comedy and funny part about Luby’s restaurant is in its policies. Before entering the restaurant, take some time to view the window. On the window are checks bounced by customers that have been blown up. One check has been up there since 2000. For some reason, I just think it’s so funny. Go check it out, and order the kung-pao chicken (you’ll thank me later).
