I have been seeing Chris Smith there for years. I have changed my hair style several times, and whether I simply explain what I want or I bring in a picture she always gets it right. She has also colored my hair, I always like several colors in my hair and I let her choose the exact colors and she always does a great job. more

I ""love"" Lovings 5/6/2009

I have been going to Lovings for at least 7 or 8 years. I found a wonderful stylist that gave me a great weave and haircuts. Unfortunately she moved to Arizona, and I had to transfer to another stylist. She is just as good as the first one. What I love about her is she listens to what I want and never goes crazy cutting too much off.\r \r I have a 15 yr. old grandaughter that refused to go to a salon because of a bad experience when she was about 6. About 2 yrs ago I talked her into going to my stylist, and she loved her. Now, every time she need her hair cut or most lately a conditioning (she keeps experimenting with color) she asks me to make her an appt. at Lovings. I hope this one stays around for a long time, because I hate losing a stylist that knows me and what I want done with my hair.\r \r I have nothing bad to say about this place (except maybe the lack of parking, but this is a great place. I haven't tried any of the other services, but I'm sure they're 1st rate. Pros: Good haircuts, nice well priced jewelry, friendly Cons: Not a lot of parking more

I wish I had not gone here.... 2/21/2009

The lady who cut my hair was friendly but obviously needs training in the latest hairstyling techniques. I requested a bob with a shorter back. The back look just fine but the stylist had no clue how to cut and style the front of my hair. This is probably the worst (front of face) haircut I have ever received anywhere. The stylist did not listen to the answers I gave her when she asked me questions. I even had to dry the front of my hair myself, just to look halfway presentable for leaving the shop!! The cut is ragged around my ears and she did not know how to angle cut to shape from the back of the hair to the front. I am very disappointed with this salon and I will not be back. Pros: friendly, Cons: Salon floor dirty, stylists need training. more

Don't risk your hair here.... 11/26/2007

I really hate to leave this review, but I want to warn others. I'd been to Lovings about 10 or so years ago and at the time it was a hip and fun place. But I should have turned around and walked back out last week when I had an appointment - it was obvious that the place had gone down, down, down. First of all, all the hairdressers look like they would be better suited to serving up beers in a local tavern. I think I may have been the youngest client there too...and I'm 50! Most of the ladies having their hair done were getting the curly tight dos! LOL! The gal that did my hair was very sweet, but she has no business doing hair. My haircolor is just awful and I will have to wait this one out for awhile before going to a better salon. And, she had NO CLUE how to use a flat iron. The place is just filthy also. Please, do not go here...it's just awful. Pros: They got me in on short notice (but now I know why).... Cons: Too many to list! more

Loving's is all in the name 3/2/2005

Sheila Loving is the genuinely friendly and caring person who owns Loving's. She treats everyone like family and it shows in the feelings people get when they make a trip to her salon. The staff she hires are all great people with a variety of specialties and talents so no matter what you are looking for you'll be sure to get it. The environment and customer appreciation that we need more of, all in one little shop! Pros: Reasonable Costs, Friendly Environment, Variety of services Cons: Small salon, small parking lot, Light chemical smell more
