Editorial review from Citysearch 9/5/2014

Been coming here eating for yrs, the last 2 times in the past 3 weeks were the worst ever...just got served recycled stale chips, horrible rice, forgot the pork on my delicioso, then never made it right, charged me full price, served my kid a burned burger...worst ever had, I wont ever go back, bathroom floors were filthy, graffiti all over..such a shame used to be my favorite place, but the food just sucked really bad... more

Los Cucos 5/12/2012

I normally don't write reviews but I think this restaurant deserves a lot more credit than people are writing. We ordered fajitas for 16 people to go for my daughter's graduation party. Moises, the manager was very accommodating and friendly. I called a few times to confirm our meals, prices, etc and he always made sure I was satisifed before we hung up. We picked up the food as planned and everything was very neatly packaged and looked very appetizing. The food was very good, everybody commented on how good the queso, fajitas, guacamole and charros beans were. The tortillas were hot and fresh. He made sure we had plenty of chips and red and green sauce, which tasted very good too. I was a very satisfied customer. Thank you very much, Los Cucos and Moises! Pros: null Cons: null more

The worst service in San Marcos 3/4/2011

I went to eat at Los Cucos with my girlfriend and the experience was awful. We waited 10 minutes for the chips and salsa to find its way to our table, another 10 for our drinks to arrive, and had to find our own silverware. By the time the food made it to our table we had been sitting for close to an hour and were just ready to leave. We got the food to go and in the car had the crazy idea to check it to make sure it was right...well guess what, it wasn't. There was ground beef all over my girlfriend's vegetarian dish. I went back inside to talk to a manager in order to get a refund for our complete waste of time. This task took almost another 10 minutes, and he only gave us back half of what we paid. It was at this moment we both decided that it was a miracle that we had gotten that much back and left with at least a little money in our pockets. Awful service. more

Disappointed...again 5/17/2009

The hubby and I were celebrating last night and so we decided to try LC's again after many years of not eating there. Everything was just OK. The green salsa was great, but the tortillas were a bit gummy, the burrito not good at all, and the chicken dry. We both thought it was a waste of money to even go out last night. Wouldn't recommend to anybody. Pros: Great Green sauce :) Cons: all other food more

Bad food 3/5/2009

Food is way too greasy. Taste like canned goods more

Best Seafood in Town 1/23/2009

Although it is a Mexican restaurant, I order the fish platters nearly every time I dine there. The fish is mouth-watering delicious and extremely tender and moist. Their grilled shrimp will have your taste buds begging for more. As for the Mexican dishes, they are also tasty, especially the chili rellenos. They also serve some of the tastiest borracho beans that ever passed through my lips. And don't hesitate to have one of their frozen margaritas; best in town. Pros: Great seafood and margaritas. Cons: Mariachi band can get loud at times more

Closest thing to authentic in San Marcos 3/26/2008

The menu was extensive, I had to send the waiter away twice to give me time to look at everything. The food was really good. The chips were brought out hot and bot red and green sauce was excellent. Service all around was good. Pros: Menu selection, Customer service, cheap alcohol Cons: not a Mariachi person, but it didn't bother me that much more
