The Local Place 8/21/2005

The Local Place in Gardena is a great little restaurant that you can grab a bite to eat or get some pastries or cakes. If you decide to eat the restaurant food, you won't be dissapointed. The prices are very affordable and the amount of food they give you will completely fill you up. The place is very clean and the decor is a nice hawaiian atmosphere. They are usually open until late evenings. more

Authentic Hawaiian restaurant. Food is delicous and fresh. I have friends from Hawaii who go here for some food from home. Most of the plates come with King's Hawiian rolls, which you can buy in supermarkets and create your own recipe. more

Excellent Hawaiian food!!! 8/5/2005

The Local Place is a great place for Hawaiian plate lunches. The restaurant is actually owned by King’s Hawaiian bread and was branched off from King's Hawaiian restaurant. The price range is about $5-10. The quality of food is pretty good compared to other fast food Hawaiian chains such as L&L. I highly recommend the Hawaiian style plantation chicken plate. As for the bakery, it is quite tasty, but VERY sweet!! more
