Christian - Always the best with color and cut 8/8/2010

I definitely wouldn't have any one else do my color or cut - since having Christian stylist for over 3 years now. I like to do different things with my hair - esp. in terms of color and he has always nailed the look I was going for. My hair is also very fine and his cuts (and color layering) do wonders for illusion of volume and texture. I travel about 1.5 hours to get to the salon and it is worth it! more

Vanessa did a great job! 8/6/2010

I was just in today and Vanessa did a great job with my haircut. I have naturally curly hair that is difficult (it seems...) to cut well. It was her first time cutting my hair, so she asked a lot of good questions before she got started. She cut it the way I asked her to and did a wonderful job. The salon is friendly (but not overdone) and professional. The usual price for a wash/cut/style is apparantly $45. Reasonable for professional, experienced hairstylists in this area. more

One of the WORST cuts ever 7/16/2010

One of the top 3 WORST haircuts ever. It is crazy how hacked up my hair is. When people see it and I say I got a bad haircut, they don't even bother to try to do the "Oh it's not that bad". They just stand in stunned silence.\r \r I went by these reviews on how great Christian was. Hopefully this will save one person from ending up looking like a 5 year old hyped up on Mountain Dew let loose with scissors on their hair. more

Christian is PHENOMENAL! 7/13/2010

Christian is an amazing stylist and will never disappoint! He understands and listens to clients' wants and needs, while at the same time is able to offer suggestions on what will look good....and it always does! Whether it's cut or color, he is extremely talented and I have never found another stylist who can come anywhere close! He has been doing my hair for 10 years and I assure you that if he does your hair once you will never go to anyone else again! LizMichael's is also a very cute, small, quiet salon in downtown Apex with reasonable prices! The combination of Christian and LizMichael's gets 2 thumbs up! more

Christian - Color Specialist! 7/13/2010

I moved to NC 3 yrs ago and was reluctant about finding a new stylist after having gone to the same person for over 10yrs, but I found Christian and have been very happy with both my color and haircuts ever since. He does amazing color (Baylage) and is always fun to work with!! Christian has been cutting and coloring my hair since 2001. The cuts are cute and easy to manage when I have to fix my hair myself. He listens to me and always does a great job. Christian has been cutting my hair for 9 years. He is the only person I trust to cut my naturally curly, fine hair. I recently started to color my hair and I found Christian to be very knowledgeable and able to give great recommendations. I highly recommend him as a hairstylist. Christian is the best of the best! 5/6/2010

Salon very decently priced and very sophisiticated but down to earth. I have extremely curly and coarse hair which is very unruly and frizzy. Christian taught me how to take care of it and gave me not only the best haircut ever, but made my hair actually mangeable. It finally has a shape! I have never been happier with the cut and the color is amazing. His technique is one of a kind. more

Christian ROCKS! 3/26/2010

I've only been going to Christian at Liz Michaels for a few months but every time I go there, he instinctively understand exactly the cut that I want and need, even when I'm unable to articulate it to him. I've been living in this area since 2004. After enduring five years of countless lousy and uninspired haircuts, I'm so relieved that I've finally found a stylist in this area who: 1. understands hair enough to know what would look good on a given client 2. has the vision to create a hairstyle that will work for your personality, lifestyle and preferences and (most importantly..) 3. actually possesses the skill to execute that vision properly. Back home, I would go to my stylist and simply say ""Do what you think is best"" and trust that I will end up looking great. I haven't had that much confidence in any stylist in this area until now. Finally, someone here understands that just because I'm living in the suburbs, that doesn't mean I want to look like a suburban housewife. Thanks Christian! Pros: talented stylist! more

Christian Meacomes has such a talent with hair.....I have very thick, wavey, hair that he does miracles with. He has been doing my hair for several years, and I cannot say how wonderful he is. I always leave just absolutely loving my hair. I always get asked who my hair stylist is and many many compliments on my style. NEVER has anyone cut my hair as well as he does. Top Notch Salon! 3/13/2010

Brittany has been doing my hair for the last several months and she is fantastic. I get so many compliments. She is always on time and never rushes through an appointment. I had grown weary of other hairdressers who book simultaneous appointments, leave you sitting while chatting on the phone, etc. This salon is very upscale and professional. We at Lizmichaels are sorry for the misunderstanding. When this client scheduled her consultation appointment she asked to have her hair straightened with no mention of Keratin. We do hair straightening, but do not use the Keratin process, we use another system we feel is safer to our stylists and clients. more

Apparently staff is unaware of the services they offer!! 3/10/2010

I called to ask them about the Brazilian Keratin Treatment and the girl on the phone said "yes" they do that and made an appointment for me to have a consultation with Liz the following week. The day of the appointment came and I had not gotten a reminder call (which they had said they would do) so I called and when I asked if I was still on the schedule for a BKT consultation the girl said "yes, but we don't do that service". WHAT? She asked if I had SPECIFICALLY asked for that when I called the first time and I said that I had. She said "oh well sorry...we do regular straighteners but not the Keratin treatment". Uh, check your website lady....and next time, make sure your employees are CLEAR on the services you offer before you make appointments!! more

Be Careful! 3/9/2010

I never got to actually try this salon. I called to ask about the Brazilian Keratin Treatment. I was told ""yes"" they do that and they scheduled me for a consultation with Liz the following week. The day of the appointment (I never got a reminder call which they said they would do) I called to confirm they still had me on the schedule. A different girl answered the phone and said ""No, we don't do that treatment."" I told her I had specifically asked for the BKT and was told yes. She said ""sorry but we don't do that"". Period. Just be careful if you call about a service that they CONFIRM they actually do it! Glad I didn't drive all the way over to their salon without calling!! Pros: ??? Cons: Apparently staff is unaware of services they offer more

Go for it!!! 3/5/2010

Had my second cut/color with Christian today! I love him! He is really an artist with hair. He had ideas on ways to cut and wear my hair. He had a new color idea for my hair- much more natural looking- and I love it. Atmosphere is upscale, chic. Have a glass of wine while getting your hair done, of you like. Very relaxing and comfortable. You'll feel very confident knowing you are having your hair done by a professional! No complaints! more

Just went to Liz Michaels & received a haircut from the stylist, Brittany. I absolutely LOVE her, I followed her from another chain salon, and Liz Michaels is MUCH MUCH more relaxinga, enjoyable, and professional. She does such a good job with short hair, and my hair is extremely thick and wavy. She did an amazing job! LOVE HER! I've seen the work she does with color too, and I would recommend Brittany to anybody. Pros: Friendly, calm enviroment Cons: NONE! more
