Excelent servise,Trensh and delicious food,Talented beatifull dansers 1/30/2008

From the first moment you enter LITTLE MARAKESH you feel as though you are in another country, Morocco. Everything about this place is authentic.Everything and everyone is from Morocco. From than on everything went like I was thinking MAGIC, from the waiters and waitresses to the Chef that came to our table and talk to us, he is a wonderfull Moroccan young man full of knowledge, The Food is very tasty, Once there, you quickly realize that you are not there only for the food. You are now a part of their culture. You even get to belly dance, if you are brave enough. This is also great for a first date if you are trying to impress your date and get a little closer. I love this place because they make me feel so relax, and I am certain my date feels impressed. Looking at the ratings about the restaurant I found out that some of the people didn't like some things while dining at the restaurant. However, I would stronly suggest making those comments straight to the management of the restaurent, that will be beneficial for both costomer and the service at the place.I guess the people who gave bad reviews here would just be satisfied eating at their local Applebbe's .Go and check it out, it's worth every penny. We will be back soon and send all our friends. more

I do not recommend - especially for non-smokers 1/28/2008

I visited this establishment on Saturday based on some reviews I read from this site. I have to say if the owner's did not write themselves reviews there wouldn't be a good one on the site. And if you don't believe me just go there once and you will see. My husband and I wanted to try something different - last time we do that. I will say that the servers were very friendly and attentive but the food was awlful. It was cold in the center and the meat they served tasted more like frozen ground beef then what they advertise. the entertainment was nice however the clouds of smoke that fill the enter restaurant makes your meal taste even worse then it is prepared. I have no desire to become a smoker and was shocked to see the amount of young teenagers that were there just for the smoke. this is most positively not a family restaurants. I am so glad i did not bring my little children and have them breathe in all that smoke that one can only hope is tobacco. Pros: entertainment and friendly servers Cons: smokey, bad tasting and cold food, loud annoying drunk teens more

Highly recommended 1/25/2008

I don't usually write reviews but this was best experience i had ever had at any restaurant.I visited the place last Friday and very happy I did.I decided to take my mother out for her birthday for and this was the perfect place. She was very excited of the thought of something new.The entertainment was great. The music was very entertaining . I even researched and added some of the songs to my ipod. The dishes were delicious; I had never tasted Moroccan food before and it was extraordinary. It was like being in Africa. They had collectible items you can buy also . My favorite part was the dessert. I can't remember what the name was but I know I will never forget that night. I was really happy to give my mom a new experience of her life. She was excited and even got to dance with the belly dancer for a minute. The severs were really nice and good looking. If you are looking for a place to have a really fun and new experience. I think you should really give it a try! You will never have an experience anywhere else! Pros: food and entertainment Cons: No bar more

The entertainment saves it. 1/24/2008

We visited this restaurant on 1/11/2008 and I would not recommend this place at all. The decor that was thrown about made the whole place look tacky and the food was lacking in flavor and authenticity. the worst part about the restaurant was the loud, rude hoords of teenagers there just for the hooka smoke. I thought it was illegal for teenagers to smoke under 18 and there were high school children there and not 1 was carded. This is not a family friendly restaurant by any strecth. It seems like a teenage hang out to smoke. The food was not prepared correctly and was cold as well as cheap tasting. Most establishment have a smoking section if they have smoke at all and this place has no such sectioning. They sat a bunch of rude teenagers next to us that blew smoke all over our food. The only redeeming quality of the restaurant was the entertainment. The girl that was dancing did a fantastic job and was very friendly, she somehow managed to maintain a pleasant attitude and be professional as well as dance through the smoke. I don't know how she did it. I tried to email the restaurant (because I have no intention of going back) to get the name and contact info of the dancer (i would like to hire her for my hubby's 50th) because I think she did such a good job and was very authentic but the place never emailed me back even after I tried 2 more times. Besides the entertainment I highly do not recommend. Pros: the belly dancer(s) Cons: everything else more

greatest morrocan food , very good customer service 1/18/2008

little marakesh is really a great morrocan restaurant Pros: Ambiance , food , parking , customer service more

Avoid if you want nice atmosphere, authentic food, and good service 6/23/2007

We went to this place because we really like Morrocan food. We went on Friday, 6.22.2007 and everything about it is wrong. You walk in and the garish decor reminds you of Vinny's brick oven pizza. The place was crawling with teenagers who were there for the Hooka pipe and the BYO. I guess since they did not buy the beer at the restaurant, the place had no problem with kids in there drinking. That was not so bad (the place was empty when we walked in so we did not know any better). What was worse was the food and service. the first course was the salad and hummus, which tasted like store bought hummus with cumin sprinkled on top. second course, pretty typical, was bastilla. The top was nicely decorated but it was just ground meat )which really is not Bastilla) and it was very greasy. we did not finish that either. the third course was morrocan chicken. the sauce was actually pretty good, and the chicken was moist. but not good enough for me to say, let's go back. The next course was couscous with carmelized onion. Not really good and again, we could not finish it. The couscous was overcooked and not well seasoned. the kabob came out next, and that was terrible. It was (i know because this is how I make hamburger so I knew the taste and texture well) a chuck that was cubed and put through the food processor (that is how I make my own chopped meat as well) that had no other flavoring but was cooked on a grill and had cumin sprinkled on it. The dessert was baklavah and mint tea. The baklavah was about the size of a quarter (no exagerration) and was soggy. the mint tea again, was good but not enough for me to want to go back. Pros: Quick Seating Cons: Bad Food, loud drunk teenagers, poor service, lousy ambience more

Escape to the Casbah 1/17/2003

My wife and I visited Little Marakesh last saturday and it was a truly unique, exotic, delicious and fun experience at this family operated BYOB. Well, our journey began from the minute our Fezzed and Pointy shoesed waiter Ali lead us to our golden top table. Ah! the decor is right out of an Alladin show with red carpets, Brass lamps and golden top tables. The Shish Kebobs and Couscous ensured us we were no longer in PA. Hey! can you imagine 7 dancers, Couscous and Kebobs, a tented ceiling and live Music! we took pictures and sometimes I joke with friends we were in Morocco and they believe me. If you have not been to Little marakesh yet, book your magic carpet now and be transported to another world and another time. Linda T, Pros: Free Parking, Inexpensive, BYOB/Entertainment more
