Red Bank on a Thursday night for a holiday dinner at the Little Kraut with friends. Sounds great? Ushered to a cramped table in an empty not so ""elegant"" dining room in disrepair. Waited forever to give drink order. Had to ask what specials were and told they are on a blackboard not visible from table. Literally no customers other than our table of six. Hostess quadrupled as waitress, bartender and busboy. Food good and ample but red cabbage should be in seperate dish instead of running all over my entree. Good wine list, graet exotic bottled beer. No tap in a German restaurant?? Manhattan prices, no atmosphere, service lacking.
