Best DOCTOR Ever!!!! 6/1/2011

@ashidome: No wonder you felt that Dr. Lipschitz wasnt a good enough doctor for you...you went to the WRONG doctor...because u r retarded. Dr. Lipschitz is one of the most intense, concerned, warm hearted individuals that one could find in the medical profession. He is not cold, unconcerned and robotic like the physicians that maybe you are used to. As for his staff, they are funny, kind and helpful. You must be illiterate because common sense would dictate to READ INSTRUCTIONS on any given medication. If ""alledgedly"" his PA didnt give u instruction in putting the Humira in the refrigerator wouldnt a normal individual read the instructions on the box? Just out of curiosity? Dr. Lipschitz saved my life and the lives of others recommended to him. As for his new location people move...its their perogative. Arriving early to find the new location is what ""normal"" individuals do. Im PR brought in up the racial era and in all the 8 years Ive been with him he has never ever stated a racial remark. Im sorry u only got 4 hours of sleep didnt ur stay at home husband tend to the kids so ur hard working behind could rest when u got home? I hope ur tatoos r spelled correctly at least. Again after see specialists myself such as at Hosp. for Special Surgery and they couldnt do much for me as Dr. Lipschitz has done for me I cannot understand why you would want to ruin a great doctors reputation? Dr. Lipschitz and his staff are the greatest in my book and my book is as good as the good book. more

Indifferent Doctor / Horrible Office Staff 4/21/2011

The people who are giving rave reviews to Dr. Lipschitz must have gone to a different doctor. I found him to be more interested in my tattoos and my husband's decision to be a stay at home dad than in what was wrong with me. On my first visit he told me that we should hire a Mexican to look after our kids because a) my husband should work and b) because Mexicans are too afraid of being deported (!). I mentioned that I was Puerto Rican in hopes that he would realize that I wasn't cool with what he was saying but he kept giving me unsolicited nanny advice. With regards to my condition, he was always vague about what I might have, even though he sent me for test after test. However, whenever I asked him for what the tests said, he never told me and was always waiting for the results. Additionally, his office staff while nice, was incompetent. They lost my insurance information several times and booked me on days the doctor had off. After receiving my first dose of humira, the nurse neglected to tell me that the medication needed to be refrigerated. She just handed me the syringe and sent me on my merry way, with no documentation. 2 weeks later I discovered the error the night before I was supposed to inject myself. I had to race up to their office -- they were closing early for the holidays -- in order to get a replacement shot. The straw that broke the camel's back was when they booked me at their new office location. The staff repeatedly told me they were moving to a new location, gave me the new address and booked me for an appointment there right after the new year. I dutifully trudged there after 4 hours of sleep to find that they had given me the wrong address - not once, but three times (I checked the appointment cards.) There was no office at that address and when I called their old office I got a message saying they were closed on that day. I left a message and never received a call back. Since then I have found a new rheumatologist and I have learned more in the two visits I had with him than in the four months I was seeing Dr. Lipschitz. more

Great Doctor!!! 3/15/2011

I have been a patient of Dr. Lipschitz for about seven years and in all of that time I have never been disappointed. Whatever aches and pains I have more

GREAT DOCTOR!!! 7/6/2009

I cannot fathom as to why an idiot who cannot spell has the audacity to get onto a website to bash the good name of a doctor? This physician is affiliated with Roosevelt/St.Lukes Hospital, Lenox Hill, Columbia Presybeterian. He attends conferences to keep himself updated with modern technology and medication regarding arthritis, autoimmune deficiciencies, general practices and yet an idiot who has nothing better to do comes along to write bitter nasty remarks about a doctor who has been overseen by others as a five-star physician. Dr. Lipschitz is kind, and generous with his time and efforts. If he finds out that a patient is admitted he visits them and if it is a patient in which he sees often and knows their medical history he goes over it with the Attending. That's like making a house call which is good as good...you moron who cannot spell. Your mother must have taught you well, in which, you take it upon yourself to call someone by their first name without their permission. Don't disrespect a respectable, kind, caring, honorable human being like Dr. Lipscschitz, you miserable swine. From a dedicated patient. Pros: BEST BEDSIDE MANNERS EVER!!! more

Worst Dr. On Record 6/8/2009

I was really ill after coming back from a trip abroad. The doctor meets with me and as I am talking with him he's staring at his computer and typing. I realize that he's just ""Googled"" my symptoms and according to the internet, he decides I have e-coli and a parasite. He takes lab samples etc., writes me an Rx and sends me on my way. It's now been a whole week since I've seen him and He still does not have my lab results. In the mean time, I've lost 8 lbs and am mal nurished. I've been sick this whole time and he couldn't care less. They keep telling me to call back to get my results. How long do I have to be sick, taking meds I probably don't need before he pays attention to me? I've had lab samples taken before and no doctor has ever waited a full week to get the results. DO NOT SEE THIS MAN. I'm pretty sure he got his degree from a fake online college. Cons: Lazy, not concerned more

Cursory and rude 10/14/2008

Just went to see Dr. Lipschitz based on a referral from my GP. He spent half of the time I was with him making phone calls about his computer, half of the visit berating me for coming to see him in the first place (as if I was just a huge waste of his time because he disagreed with my doctor's reading of my test results), and *all* of our time together not checking me for anything. He basically 'diagnosed' me, and then asked me questions about my health and family history. And the final insult was a flippant comment he made when getting my family history, and hearing that both of my parents had passed away at relatively young ages - 'people don't live too long in your family'. I would avoid him at all costs. Pros: He's won awards Cons: Have no idea how he earned them. more
