Major artistic hub 5/28/2006

Lincoln Center is one of the hubs of the performing arts in New York City. With opera, symphony and balle in residence and a regular selection of guest companies and special events, as well as a great threatre, a film festival, julliard and the performing arts library -- this is ground zero for the more classical performing arts in New York City. Stop by, pick up some brochures and figure out what you want to see. It can be pricey, but it can also be affordable. They also have great programs for introducing children to the arts. Also you know that red carpet Nicole Kidman walks up in the Chanel ad? That set-piece is based on Lincoln Center. more

Lincoln Center 8/16/2005

This is one of the fancier performing arts centers in New York City. On any given night, they will either have a play, classical music concert, or some other fancy event. They also host many graduations for various High Schools and Colleges. This place is rather old, and perhaps that's a good thing to help their fancy image. I personally do not like it because I'm not a performing arts fan. But many people like it so give it a chance. more

A little taste of royalty... 8/12/2005

I saw an opera at the Lincoln Center and it was an amazing experience. The theater has plush comfortable seats of course with the translation monitor in front of each seat. The lobby has a little restaurant that overlooks the magnificent fountain in the front. The ushers are extremely helpful and make you feel like no less than royalty. more
