Limestone Square Apts

My experience with Limestone Square has been quite different from the previous reviews! I am not sure who the property manager was when the last review was written, but I can tell you my experience with the staff has been pleasant. I was new to Lexington last August, and the girls in the office went above and beyond to make me feel at home. The maintenance staff has been great as well. It is an older apartment complex, so naturally they are going to have some maintenance issues however, any time I have called to request something be fixed, they have resolved the issue promptly. It is a quiet property and I plan on living at Limestone Square till I graduate! more

The management is horrible! They changed my lease agreement 3 times including the pay. The floors creak and are terribly uneven. The kitchen is outdated. My bathroom had a hole in the ceiling with mold around it. It took them 4 months to fix it! I became so sick from it I had to go to the doctor because I couldn't breath! Have a doctors note and everything! When they fixed it, they covered it with a piece of metal..that is it. The woman who runs it is completely rude. When I told her I was going to hold out rent until they fixed the mold problem in my bathroom she threatened me with eviction. The price of rent changed twice! Their story changed multiple times. At one point my roomates and I were told that rent was due on a certain date and then we got a letter saying it had changed and now we were passed due and would have to pay a 50 dollar charge..this place was awful! I moved out after 2 months because of how terrible it was but continued to pay rent, when I found someone to sublease I told them the company that it was owned by and they backed out because of previous issues. I would never reccomend this! Cons: everything, literally! more

I was told by Property Manager that signing a lease and giving a full deposit and pet deposit would reserve a 1st floor apt. I did just that, then two months later I'm told I have to live on the 3rd floor in another apt because someone else needed to move in before me and the apt I had already signed a lease for was their only apt vacant. Now the Property Manager says I have to either live in whatever they have left over or I'll have to find someone to sublet my lease and forfeit my $400 deposit. How is it I'm the one breaking the leasing agreement when I'm perfectly willing to move into the apt I signed a lease for? When looking over the lease later, I saw that the Property Manager had even gone as far as to manipulate the lease I signed after I had already signed it. Can we say illegal? As of now, I have had to hire legal representation and plan to reside at any apartment complex other than Limestone Square Apartments or Cowgill Properties. Pros: Close to Campus; close to gas station; on-site coin laundry Cons: No AC for 8 of 12 month lease; hardly ever parking; 1 key copy for 3 bedroom apt; move-in day maintenence issues never resolved; constant construction and helicopter noise more
