We Love Lil' Peoples World 9/2/2011

Our son has been going to Lil' Peoples World for over a year. The center is amazing, has adequate staffing and I feel comfortable leaving my son there. He is engaged throughout the day with fun activities inside and outside. He has learned manners, proper conduct and is always learning something new from songs to art projects. He enjoys going there everyday and is always happy when we pick him up. They have also been very helpful with his potty training. The staff is genuinely excited to see us and makes us feel like we are part of the Lil' Peoples World family. My son is fed good healthy meals including breakfast, lunch and snacks. We get a daily report that tells us what our son did each day, what his mood was like and anything extra they feel we need to know. It's nice to know that although we cannot be with him all day, that he is being taken care of and that the staff truly cares for him. I would highly recommend Lil' Peoples World to everyone. more

Only in the imagination does the ideal world exist 9/1/2011

As I said in the headline that only in the imagination does the ideal world exist. That must be where MamaJenny84, Mom2Shop and Jessie2011 live at because the reviews that they wrote could not be more far fetched or ridiculous. MamaJenny84 complained that there was no one to escort her back on the first day she dropped off her daughter, well that is the reason they give you a tour. I don't see why she would need someone to hold her hand to walk her daughter to her room. Then there is Mom2Shop who took the word of a toddler and probably did not ever even inquire beyond that and just believed that an employee at lil' peoples world would have transported her child in an illegal manner. Then we have Jessie2011 who claims her daughter had a dislocated elbow when she picked her up, yeah right the only thing out of place there is probably the blame on who and how it happened. So finally I will share my experience. I am not going to assure you that it is picture perfect there nor is it anywhere in the world. Boy there are some crazy days at lil' peoples world but come on there are how many kids there? ALOT!!!!!!!! My two kids have been there for over 2 1/2yrs and in that time my son has came home and told me some doosies but I would be plain ignorant not to inquire beyond my toddlers story. The staff at there has supported me and my kids through some pretty difficult times of their father just cutting out leaving behind two kids that didn't know what to do so they acted out and the staff here was 100% understanding and more than compassionate about it. And everyone has bad days here and there but how dare MammaJenny84 write such a review on less than 24hrs of experience with them based on not getting her hand held to walk her daughter back to her class. There have certainly been teachers there that I clash with but we are all only human but for the most part I my experience with this daycare has been nothing but good. They have a phenominal way of preparing children for each stage of early life in the way they go about helping them make the transitions comfortably and there are ALWAYS more than enough staff on hand as far as the child/adult ratio goes. I would definatly recommend using them for a daycare to anyone who has the opportunity to get their child/ren into an opening there!!!!!! more

You don't get any more RUDE 6/20/2011

We went and toured the center. The two girls in the office were very nice, although I should've trusted my gut and realize how superficial they seemed. The first day I dropped my daughter off there was nobody in the center to show me where to go or walk us back to the room. Anyone could've walked into the center! Another girl finally helped us. We got into the room to find out that it was over state ratios by 2 kids and there was nobody around to help. Someone came over the intercom and told her to ""just wait awhile till someone showed up"". The teacher looked frazzled and barely had a chance to say hello before two boys broke into a fight on the other side of the room. This center is crazy. The staff is inexperienced and the management needs to get their heads screwed on straight. We never came back. The director called us many times and basically harassed us to come back saying it was a crazy day. One of the staff members (who confided she was barely making over minimum wage) told us it was like this all the time. I think she realized her mistake in words after she said it. She was just very frustrated and stressed. This is NOT a place I would leave my child. more

Appallingly bad judgement 6/6/2011

The staff here has horrible judgement. I was appalled to find out that my son had ridden home from a field trip in a staff member's car, he was really excited because the staff member let him ride in the front seat and he didn't even have to sit in a booster. Are you kidding me? Illegal and horrible judgement. I would expect my child to be safe if he was at a daycare. They didn't even have permission to transport him in a car, especially not illegally! When I asked my son later that evening what else happened at daycare he got really excited and told me he got to do whatever he wanted in the morning because the teacher was asleep in the classroom. He bragged that the older kids put glitter on the teachers shoes but the teacher woke up when they tried to draw on his face. When I walk in the staff greets me warmly, but doesn't ever know the answer to a question. I've had to ask the director many times to get a straight answer. I've also heard her discussing other parents quite loudly, saying that their DSHS ran out and they wouldn't pay the bill. I let that slide, thinking my son was getting quality care. We're enrolled at the Kindercare by the freeway. Much better choice. more

Worst Place Ever! 5/23/2011

I would not reccomend this place to anyone. My daugthers elbow was dislocated here at 7 months old, and not only did that happen in their care, noone called me. I got there to pick her up and I immediatley could tell there was something wrong with her arm. I had to take her to the hosptial to have it popped back in. If you want your children in the hands of good people DO NOT take them here. more
