This place is awful. 2/8/2010

Mushy pasta, bagged salad, rubber scallops, horrible atmosphere and dirty. Cannot believe this place is open for business. Lido's makes Olive Garden seem like a 5 star restaurant. Not to mention the waitresses were drunk and took 20 minutes to come to our table. STAY AWAY if you have taste buds. Pros: That i never have to go back Cons: Bad food, drunk waitress, dirty. more

Best Home Cooked Red Sauce Italian We Have Had 6/15/2009

Our family of four was in town for a Disney vacation and were not on the dining plan, so we ate a lot of dinners out of the park. It was our youngest's turn to choose the cuisine and she chose Italian, after a quick search online we found Lido's and headed over. We were expecting a good meal, based on the reviews, but nothing could have prepared us for the delicious food that was served to us in this tiny, unassuming spot. The homemade salad dressing, delicious breadsticks and huge portions of homey Italian food had us silent as we just shoveled the yummy food in. The wine list was also VERY reasonable, which isn't always the case in touristy areas like Orlando. The next night it was our older daughter's turn to choose dinner, and she asked if we could go back to Lido's! We headed back there and had an equally delicious dinner that night. They remembered us from the night before and treated us like family. As much as I will miss our vacation at Disney, I think we will all miss Lido's even more! I wish they would move to Dallas! Pros: Absolutely delicious food and very warm service Cons: Food takes a bit of time....so it can be a slow dinner more

Unbelievably great salad 12/30/2008

I have been going to this restaurant for years and am so glad they've opened for lunch again. They have the best dinner salad in town that is served with fantastic breadsticks. Their lunch specials are always good and the portions are big. The servers are also very friendly and professional and the atomosphere is nothing short of comfortable. You can take your family, a date or coworkers and it feels like the right setting. I only wish they were right downtown so I could eat there more than once a week. Pros: Service and price Cons: Parking can be tight more

I have been Lido many time over the 30 yrs i been here in Orlando and I ever , not once had a bad meal there at all. The serves was always great and the food is outstanding. It was all very Tasty and yes they will comendate for large parties no problem at all. Pros: the food was great and so was the service Cons: there is little parking but can fine on street parking also. more

Charming little restaurant enjoyed it!!!! 7/1/2008

I really enjoyed lido's i it was a small charming retaurant. The food was very good the unlimited breadsticks were really good, the salad was wonderful and our service was great. I would go there again, as a matter of fact i am going to take my husband there tommorrow. Pros: very good for a night out for two or four. Cons: I wouldn't bring a large party there the restaurant is small they might accomidate though. more

Do not go! 6/7/2008

The food was terrible! The management/owners of this restaurant should be ashamed! I wish there were laws against serving Lean Cuisine entrees at a restaurant, and for trying to charge $13.95-14.95 for them. Cons: Food was horrible, Service was ""meh,"" Management blaise more

There is always Pizza Hut... 5/13/2008

Our meal opened with a bowl of wilted, soggy lettuce that they called a salad. This pile of unappetizing leaves was coupled with a greasy oil and vinegar mixture. It would have needed some salt to at least resemble a vinaigrette. After our party of six used the unremarkable bread sticks to soak up the salad mush, the waitress came around to fill up our drinks. She reached across the table and bumped and leaned on several of our chairs without apology. She managed to invade our space and still forget to clear away any of our empty plates. My Ceasar salad forgot to be a Ceasar, by which I mean the dressing was not tossed with the greens nor properly flavored. Those who ordered pasta dishes with a red sauce were served a tomato puree that lacked in salt or ANY other seasoning. Some basil or oregano might have helped these dishes be average as opposed to inedible. The one guest who ventured to pay over $16.00 for his meal ordered a shrimp scampi. This translated into seven severely overcooked shrimp and one very sad side order of spaghetti. All of the pasta served managed to be pasty and very poorly prepared. I do not recommend this restaurant for even a casual dish. You would be better off going to Olive Garden, or ordering from Pizza Hut. Pros: It's Air-Conditioned Cons: Over priced and inedible! more

Great food and service. 9/7/2006

I have been eating at Lido's for over 20 years. While the ownership has changed, it is one of the few examples of a real family Italian restaurants in Orlando. The food is always of a high quality, served promptly by courteous staff. The meals always begin with lot's of salad and bread and the veal or chicken pizziola is outstanding. more

That's not Italian... 5/9/2006

I've been trying to go to Lido's for a long time. Finally I went with my wife and we both were very excited about getting to know Lido's. We were seated promptly and the whole crew was friendly, the Dinner salad is wonderful and the homemade bread was delightful. My wife ordered a CHICKEN MARSALA and I ordered SHRIMP SCAMPI. Here everything went downhill, the chicken wasn't marsala at all, it tasted like a boiled chicken breast with marsala wine after dumping a can of mushrooms on top, my shrimp scampi were worse, usually you get it over pasta with either alfredo sauce or ""al'olio"", not here, the shrimps were on the side, and honestly the pasta with marinara sauce tasted as good as the one out of the ragu bottle. I'll be back if they get somebody that knows hot to do italian cuisine. By the way, I'm Italian. Pros: Great Service, Dinner Salad is Great Cons: Parking, Not real italian food more

Thats Amore! 12/12/2002

Do yourself a favor and go to this restaurant. The lunch special is a great deal, try the eggplant Miguel...mmmmmmm. I saw them take care of a party of 26 there so they can handle large groups. One downside is the parking, but it will seem insignificant after you eat. Pros: Food, Prices/Menu Selection, Staff Cons: Parking more

Not A Chain! 8/8/2002

Family bistro with the best homemade salad dressing. Lunch specials with a pasta, bread, and bottomless salad bowl for less than $6 are a real find. Food is fresh and homemade. Pros: Food selection, food taste, salads Cons: Parking, tables too close more
