Repairing a "chip" often saves the customer from replacing the entire windshield. Most insurance companies will waive your deductible for a chip repair. This service can be done at our shop or at the customer's location. The chip must be shorter than a dollar bill if it is a line crack or smaller than a quarter if it is star-shaped. Also, the damage cannot go off of the side of the glass. If the damage is directly in front of the driver's line of vision, it might be better to have a new windshield installed. If the backing plate assembly is still intact and the only damage is the mirror, we can order a brand new mirror and install it for you.
